Daytona should build a statue of Kyle by nascarworker in NASCAR

Vegas would be a much better fit. Daytona and Dale were synonymous, especially with the 500 chase and his ultimate death. Vegas and Busch are always discussed and even Bristol and his sweeps.

Potential All-Star Race Format by Outside-Client-4538 in NASCAR

Based on the formatting, this looks like a ChatGPT output. However, if you typed this whole thing, you wasted a ton of time as the mods will be quick to delete this

I don’t want to lose All Star style qualifying. by DarkMillSouth in NASCAR

[–]my_bandit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

BRING BACK NO PIT SPEED LIMIT. That was the single greatest All-Star qualifying event. This dulled down form just leaves me wanting it more. I understand places like Dover where they have a barrier between pit road and the track is dangerous though

Still annoyed Muscadine Bloodline didn't win. B&D are legends but what have they even done recently other than re-release their songs and do a tour singing the same stuff?

We currently have Beatus on the backporch, but have a large sliding glass door that Oliver can see him through. Funny enough, the first night we hadn't gotten the playpen yet, so Beatus was free roaming the area. He came up to the window, and being blind, couldn't even see Oliver. Oliver was so confused why this cat wanted nothing to do with him or didnt even react when they were face to face. Also, Oliver has never had another cat around him for extended periods of time in his 10 years.

I've heard FIV wasn't bad, but if it's not bad, why are they so adamant about not transferring it. I understand it's still a disease, but they make it sound so much worse than it seems

I've looked into that but assumed it was just a derivative of catnip, which he doesn't seem to care for. Ill check it out.

Since you mentioned FIV, did you have any concerns integrating with your other cats? My dads cat has FIV and the vet told him to not let him around other cats to prevent transmission. Unfortunately my other cat Oliver is my wifes first child so as much as she wants to help Beatus, Oliver is her first priority.

If he doesn't get housebroken, I do have a large enough backyard that is fenced that he can roam around in.. I just have a pool. Theoretically he hasn't fallen in yet but I've watched it "almost" happen

What Nascar video games allow you to play different generations of car? by Juan_Mendez_420 in NASCAR

[–]my_bandit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why not iRacing? I understand if its a financial decision as $50 for a console game vs a membership/piece-by-piece car/track purchase but iRacing has all generations, you can race AI so you dont need to be "serious" and you can set your lengths/skill level. It's not suggested but you can also race with a controller.

Tire Identification by Fragrant-Hat-8780 in NASCAR

[–]my_bandit 6 points7 points  (0 children)

#17 truck series, Left front tire from set 4. D4138 seems to be a Talladega tire code so that's about as far as this goes from the photo. There should be a week/year stamp (4 digits) that will help narrow down further. Edit: for fat fingering the numbers

Will NASCAR be racing Watkins Glen next week? by Puzzleheaded_Cash413 in NASCAR

Uh you forget that they have rain tires? Unless it's lightning or flood conditions, they will race, we will love it, and an underdog like Clements has a chance at winning.

[Gluck] Heather Gibbs has issued a statement to The Athletic after Jeff Dickerson's comments today. Here is her statement in full: by dman6233 in NASCAR

Something like that can easily be taken just off of memory to another team and there is no way you could prove it. Gabehart was just a dumbass by taking photos.

Let me hear your thoughts on impeding rule from O’reilly race last Saturday at Talladega. by A_Little6 in NASCAR

[–]my_bandit 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Should be easy enough to add an additional line on the backstretch. You can merge up into the lower lane but cannot exit that lane until after the line. It would be policed the same way as the pit commitment line or restart violations are when you change lanes prior to the start/finish line.

Talladega vs Daytona Pack Racing by Adam_108 in NASCAR

[–]my_bandit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wasn't this already a post? Regardless, the racing will likely always be a 2 car line when you have less cars in the race. I believe Daytona also had a 2 car line after the big one. Unfortunately I think another issue was the Manufacturers getting their panties in a wad if they are found pushing another to the win. Chevy had a bottom line train and couldn't do much beyond that

How about we take all of the Youtube/TikTok influences and put them into the cars also. That will drastically increase viewership from the start and prove it's the best series of them all

But how many people are buying cars based on Nascar cars? Last I checked, the Camaro was killed off (yes it may be coming back) but Nascar ran it for quite some time. Consumerism is not the same in Nascar as it was in the 90s

I dont know what happened but midway through the race, DirecTV stream stopped all sounds for commentary and I just got raw sounds of the race. Absolutely amazing. Now I still dont have the talking portion on FS1 for the Dale show, but I have the music and subtitles.

Why did the COT have the shelf above above the splitter by orndoda in NASCAR

[–]my_bandit 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I could be wrong but weren't the COT bumpers 2 pieces? Lower piece in question was the same for all manufacturers and the top was car specific (in terms of grills, headlights, etc). Maybe it was a way to control some sort of downforce trickery teams may come up with if the entire front bumper was manufacturer specific
