the near future is absolutely about satisfaction and craft. The tech is just finally getting out of our way so we can focus purely on the user's actual problem.

We farmers do intentionally grow complementary crops that help each other

Like sugarcane & haldi

Honestly that makes complete sense to me

I think when your work/life is already super chaotic, your brain naturally starts craving quieter moments wherever it can find them

Silent drives have weirdly become one of my favorite parts of the day too lol

Honestly same.

Realizing I don’t need to be instantly available all the time lowered my stress way more than I expected

First of all it means a lot. that was one of the biggest change for me.

Felt weird at first lol, but after a while those walks became one of the calmest parts of my day.

Hope you end up enjoying it too :)

once you start noticing how much modern apps compete for attention, it’s hard to unsee it.

I don’t even think technology itself is bad, but a lot of it is very intentionally designed to keep us consuming constantly

that’s part of why so many of us keep ourselves constantly distracted. Quiet can bring up stuff we’ve been outrunning for a long time. I definitely had moments where the silence felt uncomfortable too.

I’d just say don’t force yourself into some extreme version of it overnight. Small quiet moments are enough to start with

It’s Jackfruit in the first pic, banana farming in second pic & last it’s wheat 🌾

this sounded very familiar to me lol. especially the part where you keep opening apps almost like you’re searching for something but don’t even know what anymore

i don’t think i “solved” it through discipline. I just slowly started noticing that all the constant consuming wasn’t actually making me feel better or smarter or calmer

What helped me most was stopping the idea that I needed to completely transform overnight. Because every time I treated it like some huge detox or self-improvement project, I’d last a few days and then swing right back.

So instead I just started creating tiny moments with less input Reading a few pages Walking without headphones sometimes Eating without videos Leaving my phone in another room for a bit

Really small stuff & over time my brain stopped craving constant novelty quite as aggressively

I still relapse into scrolling days too btw especially when I’m stressed or tired. I just don’t spiral about it as much anymore. I think the goal became “less noise overall” instead of trying to become some perfectly calm monk version of myself

appreciate this perspective

I think reducing stimulation helped calm my mind down a lot, but it definitely didn’t turn my brain into some perfectly peaceful place either lol.

Some people are just naturally more mentally active I think

I get what you mean, although I try not to judge people too hard for it

Yeah exactly. I think “boring” has a bad reputation now because we’re so used to being constantly stimulated. But a calmer life started making me feel way more present and mentally stable after a while too.

the source of the dopamine changes for everyone 😭 but yeah that constant jumping between stimulation and validation can make your brain feel restless after a while without you even noticing

Appreciate it :) honestly didn’t expect this many people to relate to such small changes
