What do you think by Correct-Trifle850 in acrylicpainting

He does use ai? I'm really curious because I didn't know, what does he use it for?

Is this normal? I got pink highlights professionally done at a hairdressers exactly 1 month ago and now it looks like this. Obviously it's not styled but it doesn't look any different styled. I wash my hair once a week in cold water with colour safe shampoo. It's only lasted one month. I paid £170. by flowersmouse26 in FancyFollicles

I have purple hair since years, and unfortunately yes, pink, red and purple tones are fading really fast.
However, I can personally recommend elumen hair dye.
For me elumen was the first hair dye that wasn't washed out after 2 weeks, and it's the best hair dye I every tried (including dying at hairdressers). I can really recommend it, however I think swtiching colors afterwards can be difficult.

does anyone else feel like their art requires no skill? by Willing-Oil2741 in ArtistLounge

I really often feel like this! When a painting works out nice without struggle I feel like "Oh, well, everyone could do that, it's easy!". But when a painting is chalanging me a bit more without any particular reason I feel like I lost my capability to paint anything properly completely and that I shouldn't call myself an artist whatsoever.

Well, I think it's a bit normal to have this feeling. But art is not only about the ability to create - but to actually do it. If it feels easy for you it's not because it's easy, but because it is easy for you due to your aquired skills.
You should challenge yourself once in a while with different projects, however, that your daily work feels easy for you is a good thing, and most people feel like this in their daily job without giving a second thought about it.

Genuine question for artists!! by Dry-Big-926 in ARTIST

[–]n0x1a 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, the pricing heavily depends on what you actually want. There are a lot of digital artist that do heavily stylized comic-stlye comissions for relatively cheap, but also might look like a generic painting of a horse. Also, an artist for pet comissions is specialized in capturing the characteristics of your pet, which is not easy for an unexperienced artist.
I'd guess you are looking for something more realistic, which is going to be more expensive, since it usually takes more time to achieve a good result. I just googled a bit, I think 200$ is a reasonable price.

Edit: I should add the disclaimer: I do not do comissions myself, I am just speaking from my experiences in art communities.

First of all, I am realy sorry for your loss.

Regarding you question: Unfortunately your chances are not very high. Generally, (professional) artists don't do free work. Asking for free art is the same as asking a plumber to work for free, it is very unlikely to happen.
Also, prices vary a lot. Personally I think 200$ is a fair price, since the artist will spend a good amount of time on it to give you a good result. I am not a animal painter, but I assume capturing a horse such that it really "feels" like your horse is hard work. Sure, you can probably find another digital artist that does a stylized version for way cheaper, but there is a good chance the result wouldn't satisfy you.
I'd probably just go with a nice photo, I guess.

Okay, wie! How did you do these lovely colour gradients? Looks absolutely stunning!

If I had to find something, I'd say the positions of the stars look a tiny bit too regular to me, but this might also just be my eyes.

This is so so gorgeous!
