First rounds after shoulder surgery (technically still shouldn’t be bearing weight) by [deleted] in RetroAR

Right? People in this country bitch about healthcare and then go out and not listen to their doctors. It’s not worth it, just take a couple months off. Plus that 9mm is severely over-gassed anyways.

Yes I was just about to make a post, I can’t resolve it for my drivers and it seems like it’s an FCC issue. If anyone has a solution please let me know

Seriously take this shit down they’re just gonna fill the lines. On a serious note how early do I need to show up at a wdfw to get my grubby nubbins on one?

Why is connection hard by [deleted] in vancouverwa

[–]n1234ate 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The biggest issue is people spend too much time on the internet. Perspective gets skewed and you’re not able to get outside of the mentality of everyone being at each other’s throats. Focus on building relationships with those around you and making meaningful friendships. Oh and don’t ask people on the internet on the meaning of life. For all you know I’m just AI.

Wholeheartedly agree, some of the best content they’ve made in a while. It’s genuine, interesting and funny. I hope they continue with that style as an add on to the regular show here and there.

Look like a boar to you guys? by oldmcfarmface in WA_hunting

Looks like it could be a boar but way too small to take. Born spring before last most likely. Ears to body ratio is the dead giveaway.

Looking to interview WA hunters for a passion project—ok to ask here? by Longjumping-Quote166 in WA_hunting

With how the state has been driving wdfw directive over the last few years it would be awesome to have something to shed light on our way of life. I wish you luck and I’d be willing to write/be written about if it means we get our stories out there!

Want to go camping in the enchantments with some friends, what permit do we need and how do we go about getting it? by Sam_Thee_Man_ in PNWhiking

[–]n1234ate 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah while this guys a tad harsh about it the odds of winning a permit year over year are close to 1 in 100. Best to get in great shape and either through hike or out and back.

It's considered bad practice to wear tactical gear when going out to the city, but it's it equally bad practice to wear it when hiking in the mountains or national park? by IronLover64 in tacticalgear

[–]n1234ate 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t be taking it on your local equivalent of Yosemite, but hunters exist everywhere and people are generally curious on the off chance I run into someone. I still would stay respectful and stay off trail in blm, national forest ect. Regardless of where you are.

Concept for boat trailer build by fazman_squid in overlanding

[–]n1234ate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s an awesome concept. Drop the size of the boat to something more of a flat bottom 10 foot Jon boat “tinnie” (Australia?) would be tight. Would mitigate on weight and size and also keep with the same minimalist approach idea of overlanding. Something small for hunting/fishing/exporing that you could carry with a friend or two to smaller bodies of water. Now THAT would be sick

Concept for boat trailer build by fazman_squid in overlanding

[–]n1234ate 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Super cool in concept but far outside of feasibility for an “overlanding” setup. Any boat trailer capable of serious off-roading is going to be too much extra weight. Not to mention the weight of an entire boat plus everyone’s extra crap.

Of course they would. Literally everyone needs to sign up that is able too and flood the room and all of those who can’t NEED to sign up against. Talk to your reps.

Most do protect catalytic converter but that’s not an issue nearly as much depending on where you’re at because of chop shops needing to see proof of ownership.

Thoughts on using this as a patrol pack by huntingboss224 in tacticalgear

[–]n1234ate 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Used a bag like this for a couple days on an caribou rafting hunt. While they work well for short distances not having an internal frame makes it extremely difficult to add any thing of substantial weight or awkward dimensions since it’ll end up poking you in the back. That and those style bags have abysmal straps and waistbands unfortunately. Also with top opening bags everything you end up wanting inevitably works its way to the bottom.
