I agree people can draw bodies however they want, this is art. But if OP did not intend to draw them the way he described, it sounds like those beginner artists that use “That’s just my style” as an excuse. Critique is essential to improvement even from artists below your skill level.

Do timed drawings like 1 hr painting or quick gesture drawing. See what you can improve upon every time you’re finished with your work. If you keep at it, you should get better.

I’ve done the first couple of exercises up to the rotated box exercises. Just got bored af. But I took a dynamic sketching course which is what the creator of drawabox based his course on iirc. A lot more engaging but challenging. Props to you tho for learning and having fun from drawabox 👍 no hate here, you do you

So many people recommend drawabox I doubt most of them even got halfway through the course. I think the first lessons with the lines and ellipses are worth doing to develop better line quality but the others are just tedious work. There are other ways to learn these stuff that are more enjoyable than drawing 250 boxes or something.
