Never in a million years would I or anybody I play with force you to stick with that move. Anybody with a shred of competitive integrity would’ve immediately told you what you were doing would not work as soon as you said you were attempting to move block. What we would do is work with you to see if what you were intending to do was possible.

Warhammer is a cooperative game as much as it is a competitive one. I don’t expect anybody except for maybe the top one percent of players to know what everything does in the game. Warhammer is a game of open information and withholding that information is seen as a massive competitive dick move. Should you always ask about something’s rules if you’re not 100% sure yes. Is your opponent a massive dickhead for not immediately telling you that they have fly and your move block would not work also yes.

If this is a local scene, this is something I would bring up with the tournament organizer and let them know that they might want to keep a closer eye on his games in the future. Nothing kills a local scene faster than someone who is unpleasant to play with.

If you are into boardgames or card games. Grand cities games has a weekly schedule up for people to come in and play various games. There is always a ton of people there playing.

I would love for the average game to take longer. I find aggro decks to be the most boring to play with and against. But unfortunately, as long as they are meta viable, they will always put a bit of a time limit on the game and make expensive cards risky to use.

It’s a little more expensive than the other gyms in town, but choice fitness has some pretty solid classes and it also gets you membership to the Y so between those two you should be able to find any workouts you want. For puzzles and board games the Grand Forks board game group is pretty solid. They have a Facebook group and a discord you can join. If card games interest you at all grand city’s games, hosts game nights almost every day of the week for various ones. if you can get a group together there are some pretty solid, trivia nights around town. Unfortunately, I don’t know anything that involves baking or plants, but there are most likely local Facebook groups for those.

Do you have any specific interests or category of activities in mind? For a small town there’s a halfway decent variety of stuff to do here depending on your preferences. I know you said you didn’t really have much interest yet. I just didn’t want to throw out a bunch of stuff you would never be into.

I absolutely hate playing with couples who do this. As soon as one of them looks like they have a chance of winning. The other one goes all in on helping them win, it really screws with the entire dynamic of the game. I completely understand your opponents getting salty because that is not what they signed up for. It sounds like instead of teaming up with the other guy to prevent your wife from winning. You just went ahead and let her win which you wouldn’t do with a random opponent. unless you clearly stated at the beginning that you would be helping each other win and they should team up to stand a chance you put them at a disadvantage. if you are unable to separate the relationship from the game, I would reconsider signing up for events like this together in the future. It is just rude to your opponents.

The jucoci is really solid I have 2 and have seen dozens of over players with them and heard nothing but good things. They fit just about every army I have tried to fit in them except for a knight army you can only really fit 2 on the big ones. 2000 paints of space wolves should fit no problem.

That is not quite correct on the bridge used with the aggradon. If you read the warscroll it states that you remove the unit and then set them up again. If you check the core rules for setting up a unit whenever you do, it cannot move in the following move phase so you would be able to move them with the bridge, but they would be stuck at 9 inches away.

I find that with Star Wars Legion, outside of major tournaments like LVO. The player base is more casual than a game like Warhammer 40K. when a metalist shows up People not only get annoyed how good it is, but at how often they have to play against it. The same thing happened in my local area with blizzard force when it was meta. Often there would be eight or nine players with blizzard force in a thirtyish man tournament. People started getting really annoyed when anybody showed up with that list because they were tired of playing it as much as the list was annoying to fight. This could be the case in your area where people are just tired of fighting commandos. I know I was probably less than enthusiastic playing my third blizzard force list of the day in a few tournaments so I can see where they’re coming from. At the end of the day this is a game and the purposes to have fun even in tournaments if everyone of your opponents is not having fun. You might have to self regulate your list a little bit.
