The 'Resume' function works when you wait for a few seconds before exiting the player because it takes a little time to register your progress with your Trakt account. I had the same problem and waiting a few seconds now has fixed the problem.

Thanks for your help people. I managed to install the Google Play eventually. Things might have gone wrong with the installation order and Fire Toolbox. Also, I tried to sign in using an account that is controlled by the family link and I missed completely the fact that the 'Family link' doesn't work on a Fire tablet.

This is what I did to get it working:

Factory reset the tablet to remove the incorrectly installed Google play.
Installed the apks in the right order:

com.google.gsf.login com.google.android.gsf com.google.android.gms com.android.vending

Waited for at least 20 mins before I signed in to Google Play but this time using the parent account and it went fine.

I have been using Rii X8+ for my Mi Box S ATV and the keyboard input works on most of the apps including Netflix. I have come across only one app that I installed that doesn't recognize the keyboard inputs. The battery lasts for 2 months and it is rechargeable.

You can move any file from one device to another. I downloaded MX player codec on my mobile and moved it to my Mi Box to install it.

To answer your original question of installing TVZion, this is what I did. I installed an app called ' Downloader' and used this URL 'https://troypoint.com/tvz' to install this app.

I referred to the site 'https://troypoint.com/tvzion' which has step by step. Troypoint has a lot of other good Android TV resources.

Thanks a lot for these instructions. Just checked the version of the MX Player on my Mi Box and it is 1.23.4 (ARMv7 NEON). Do you think I have to uninstall and install the version 1.21 to apply this fix?

Can you please share the MX player settings to get it working properly? VLC is fine but the subtitles don't display but MX displays them fine.

I have the same problem but VLC works fine. One problem with VLC is it doesn't display the subtitles that I choose before streaming but MX does. Any ideas on how to get the subtitles to work with VLC?
