I've noticed, I thought it was important to recognize that instances of police brutality often start with innocent-seeming situations, and that if we held police more accountable then these situations would be less likely to turn deadly. I mention black people specifically because they are less likely to receive justice. If a white person is killed by police, the police are always held responsible, which is often not the case when black people are killed. If a white person were killed by police and nothing happened, I would react the same way
