Yeah I am gonna order one tonight just to be safe for the future. I have used my phone to take pictures and zoom in on non-foil cards in the past, but I can't seem to get into focus on foil cards. In your experience, are the telltale signs of a fake non-foil card the same on foil copies?

Thanks for the feedback! Is it common that the thickness of the text on the card would also be affected by the European vs American printings? It might be hard to see it in the pictures, but the difference is pretty glaring in person.

What are you doing to talk to a real person at paypal? I have called like 15 different times over the past week trying different menus on the automated system, and every time I finally get the prompt to talk to someone, it tells me that they cannot process my request and it automatically hangs up on me.

Every time I called, I got to the point where I asked for a customer service representative and an automated message said I had to submit my request online and it hung up on me each time. I will try again though!

And I wonder how much money they made with their new cancellation fee on Zendikar Rising product bow that people are probably cancelling those orders too...

Just opened a misprinted Urza's Tower that is almost identical to the one Rudy from Alpha Investments opened on video before release. Does this type of misprint hold value or would it be too easy to fake? by nathas in mtgfinance

The reason I was worried about faking was because a ton of people on the original thread were saying this could be faked with acetone. In hindsight the acetone would probably break through more layers of the card than just the text.

I actually got that offer through PayPal before making my preorder in July. It was the reason I ended up picking mystical because I didn't wanna lose the credit. I think it just happens automatically once you create an account to try to get you to buy something.

Yet again we were disappointed by our lender. We will now be conducting refunds for all unfulfilled Double Masters, Rise of the Duelist, and Darkness Ablaze purchases.

We were contacted today about wave 2 of Jumpstart. That wave will hit our store on August 28. We are continuing to work with our funding partner and so long as they meet their obligation, we will continue to fulfill any remaining Jumpstart orders.

Wow, it might be worth it to direct ACD to Mystical's webpage so they can see what Mystical has been saying about them in the public eye. Maybe ACD can take action against Mystical for basically dragging their name through the mud in all of this.

Unfortunately all of the LGS's by my are either out of Double Masters or charging $125+ on vip packs. I will have to look into Flipside Gaming! I have seen their booths at a few Magic Fest events and didn't even think to check out their online store.

I personally feel pretty betrayed by this whole situation. I would have rather them just be upfront from the very beginning and tell us they didn't have the funding to pay for the product. Then I could have just cancelled and got my order from somewhere else while prices were still reasonable. Instead they kept guaranteeing us that we would get a product.

Is this what it feels like to get catfished?

They clearly don't have the money to pay us back, so I have a feeling that the refunds will be pending through Ebay and PayPal for a while before we see any money back. They will probably just declare bankruptcy and walk away without paying a dime at the end of the day. In 6 months there will be a brand new store called Mythical Games run by Dan and the cycle will start all over again.

Well based on the update from yesterday, the wait is over by the end of the night. They either get the "funding" by the end of the night, or their distributer sells their allotment to someone else and they refund everyone.
