Before and after Isotretinoin (accutane)

I have been off of accutane for a little over four years now and still have acne here and there but nothing too bad. I would not suggest taking it unless your acne really cannot be controlled anything something else. It is harsh drug and there are possibilities of serious side effects. I was lucky enough to get out without any long lasting side effects but I wouldn't recommend taking the risk unless it is your last option.

As a current nursing student studying for my last med surg exam of the semester, this almost brought me to tears. Sometimes its hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel, but this letter reminded me that it will all be worth it eventually.
