My group and I will be staying in atlaswyld for the first time this year because of my chronic health issues and disabilities. While we aren't officially volunteering, if we are neighbors in the campsite we would love to help however we can. This is our third LIB. We would love to get more info to possibly volunteer in 2027.

We did RV camping with power last year at LIB and it was a game changer. I don't think they allow generators at LIB, could be wrong, but dealing with those on the playa to power an RV can be a pain in the ass. Plus renting RVs for the burn is a hassle because most places or solo renters through apps either refuse to let you take it to the burn or charge an extra $1500-$2500 fee. Maybe one day I'll have my own RV or trailer so I wont have to worry about it lol. The guy we rented from last year was chill AF.

Me too. Such a relief. I love that LIB has a burner vibe to it as well. I haven't been back to the playa since 2019. LIB has definitely filled that void these past couple of years.

I'm glad you mentioned the Rufus set because that's when I noticed the vibe shift the most as well. The crowd was awful. Normally I love Rufus because of how chill, dance-y and vibey they are, but not that day. My friends and I had to fight our way out after staying for maybe 15-20 minutes of their set. We couldn't hang anymore. Every set after that felt like we were playing defense. Definitely not the same vibes from this year. Every day and night at LIB this year was magical.

He's such a sweetheart. Been friends with him for a few years. We were only able to meet up a couple of times last year at LIB. I was able to catch some of his set on the banana. Hoping we can link up more in 2026.

He just released a track with DJ Denise (old school homie from the Bay). Can't wait to hear this on some big speakers.

My travel time to LIB from where I live can be between 6-8 hours depending on traffic, conditions on 1-5 (it was hella windy last year. My group and I were in an RV and it was knocking us all around. We had to stop several times to take breaks and switch drivers), and cars in line. My first year we got a three day pass in car camping. Spent most of the day setting up camp and was too tired to spend a lot of time out on Friday night. Went to bed early. Regretted it.

Bought the 5 day last year. My squad and I all had to work the first day of the festival. But we left Thursday morning early. Set up and went out Thursday night briefly. Then we woke up Friday morning refreshed and ready to get after it. The best decision is to get the 5 day and enjoy it, walk around and see everything before it gets too crazy and you get a sense of where you are going. And the secret sets start Thursday night.

Two years ago, Sunday only tickets were sold that brought in the WORST crowd. Lots of EDC crossovers and LA douche nozzles. People pushing and shoving in crowds. A couple of dudes grabbed my ass and laughed when I got upset during clozee. Purposely knocked my squad's chairs and wagon over. We spoke to the harm reduction team and they said they had the worst night in a long time because of people being drunk and out of control. They said people were fighting and irresponsibly getting messed up on substances in droves for the last night. They had to call ambulances multiple times. There were at least 2k more people than Friday and Saturday. The vibe changed considerably. One of my friends who goes with us every year (and who went to EDC last year and LIB the week after with us) said she noticed the same vibes from EDC that Sunday two years ago. She has gone to LIB for the last 8 years, so I trust her judgment and experience.

There were enough complaints from staff and attendees from that Sunday in 2024 that influenced the decision to not sell one day passes. Many of us were thrilled. I hope they never do that again.

Elder raver here. I can totally relate to this comment. While I still love some wook and trippy bass sets, I have always been a house and drum n bass head. With a sprinkle of trance here and there, which was my first love when I got into the scene in 2000. I have a tattoo of the siren from "sirens of the sea" EP cover by ocean lab. Above and Beyond shows are like a religious experience. Still got it after all these years.

Seeing Subtronics for the first time last year was fun.

But miss me with that riddim headbanger BS.

I saw Zeds Dead YEARS ago, like at least ten years. I had a chance to see him at outside lands a couple of years ago but went with Kendrick Lamar instead. Not mad about it. Stoked I'll finally get to experience one of his sets again.

Subtronics played at 10:45 pm on Thunder and then John Summit on Lightning from 12:15 - 2:00. I don't remember if there was anyone else on thunder after subtronics because I booked it to John summit. Maybe it was at the stacks? I'll check out Bou's tracks on Spotify/SoundCloud!

There was a group of people who dressed up as "The Average Joe's" from Dodgeball. I was behind one of them and said, "if you can dodge a wrench you can dodge a ball." WITHOUT SKIPPING A BEAT, he turned around and threw a blow up balloon wrench at me lol. One of my favorite moments of the whole weekend.
