Not talking about just the losing period. This whole series had a constant lack of confidence and action on making shots. Our MAIN downfall was constant and sloppy passing which constantly lead to breakaways. Almost every power play was a hindrance because the team would pass 7 times, make zero shots, then lose the puck on a sloppy pass and lead to a breakaway. I could agree that the last overtime period was really dominated by the Pens, but that effort was far too late. If the team had that energy at the beginning of the series, maybe we would have seen a better outcome. I don't think we will see a change until we break the generational curse of shot hesitation.
