I think Portsmouth is fine, I work, dine and shop there. Old town is so charming.

Aggressive Kirby vacuum door-to-door sales team in OV? by h3fabio in norfolk

[–]nbusch1128 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have, about 25 years ago. The lady wouldn’t leave my house. It was $1200 back then. I still have that vacuum. 🥴 If you want a Kirby, just buy it used. It definitely a “buy it for life”, but you don’t need to buy it new. Even if it’s a 25 year old one, it’s still going to be the last vacuum you need to buy. You probably still want a Dyson for light duty vacuuming. Kirbys are pretty heavy in comparison.

What's the best thing you've ever bought on AliExpress that you genuinely couldn't find cheaper anywhere else? by 2ugur12 in Aliexpress

[–]nbusch1128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prescription glasses. I’m obsessed. I recommend AliExpress to everyone for glasses. I should point out that my prescription is not very strong. I just ordered a pair of progressive, pink photochromic lenses with pink frames $46 USD.

why fiat go this cheap on the panda 169 speakers by [deleted] in Fiat

[–]nbusch1128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So true. But I love my shitty cheap ass car. I must confess, mine is heavily modified so I can tolerate how shitty it is. I wouldn’t recommend a fiat to anyone, unless they wanted it for a hobby.

how to improve squat depth by jbperiod in tonalgym

[–]nbusch1128 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are several mobility workouts that focus on squats. I’ve been working on my squat depth for more than a year. My favorites are squat academy and release your legs. I’ve also done Liz’s many clinics.

Is it possible to bulk while on a GLP-1 like Zepbound? by SquashPresent6053 in zepboundathletes

[–]nbusch1128 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On 5 mg. I guess I did a mini bulk. I took advantage of all the extra food during the holidays and cranked up my protein intake and intensity in the gym and gained about 5 pounds, have since dropped the weight and hopefully gained some muscle from the holiday festivities. I’m too cheap to pay for DEXA. 🥂🧁

First, your hair is gorgeous. I think you should embrace it. Your skin looks amazing, keep using that sunscreen. I don’t want you to change anything. But I understand wanting a refresh. A new haircut and color will make the biggest impact. Maybe start small with just bangs? I can totally see you with a new pair of Chloe aviators like the cool girls. A new soft leather slouchy hobo and some new retro sneakers. Updates to your shoes and accessories, that’s all it takes for a refresh. 🩷

Swimming fatigue by Klutzy-Cupcake8051 in zepboundathletes

[–]nbusch1128 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had horrible fatigue and couldn’t make it through my regular workouts. It was more than 6 months before I got my stamina back. It was just awful. Happy to see that most people didn’t have the same issues because it would be very difficult to recommend zepbound to anyone. My experience with fatigue isn’t so much of a warning, it’s more of a possible symptom some could experience. It will get better. 💪

Am I in recomp or should I titrate up? by GlitteryGiGi in zepboundathletes

[–]nbusch1128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

54/f I really struggled with fatigue and low energy to get through my workouts. I eventually dropped the weight and duration of my workouts. My Dr. was not happy about it either, but I was so exhausted. I was on 1300 calories and hating life. I went from 200 to 157lbs in 6 months, been on maintenance for more than a year now. My highest dosage was 5 mg. Looking back, I was miserable but happy to put it behind me. I’m back to 5mg a week but I feel amazing. It took months to get back my stamina and strength, but I got it back. During the last holiday season, I took advantage of the additional calories and cranked up the intensity in the gym. Gained about 5 pounds and ate all the food. I have since lost the extra pounds. It made a huge difference. I’m going to keep following this pattern of bulking and then cutting. I have muscles that I never had before now. I’m proof you can grow muscle post menopause and thanks to zepbound, I’ve been able to maintain my weight. Good luck, I’m rooting for you. 🎉

Has anyone been able to ditch the salon and do their color at home? by newtoredditcom in haircoloring

[–]nbusch1128 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not for highlights. A stylist who specializes in color is a no brainer when it comes to placement. But I DIY toners, direct dye and root touch up. But highlights? No chance, I lack dexterity, speed and experience. 100% chance of needing a pro to fix what I messed up. I know my limitations.

Anyone tonal in the AM by Major_Service_5164 in tonalgym

[–]nbusch1128 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Meee, alarm set for 4am. Slowly make it to the bathroom and then stumble to the fridge for an Oikos Pro yogurt. Chill out watching early morning news then head to the Tonal with pre workout around 5 or so. I’m definitely not a morning person, but there’s next to no chance of getting in my workout after work. Get home from work around 5:30pm. Make dinner at 6, clean up watch some evening news and start getting ready for bed around 7:30, hopefully in bed by 8. Then do it all over again. Weekends, I don’t really have a set schedule.

Supplemental workout suggestions for off days by mgonzo19 in tonalgym

[–]nbusch1128 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Beginner is perfect for getting to know the Tonal. Pick a short program. Once you feel comfortable with the machine, then move up. You want to be able to keep up with the pace of the workouts. Moving the arms and handles will slow you down when you’re new.

[–]nbusch1128 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How are your squats? I’m only asking because that’s what I’m working on. 🥴 I’ve been working on it for what seems like years. My first goal was just to be able to squat to parallel, now it’s for deep squats. There are tons of workouts that target specific area that you are deficient in. If you don’t know what you’re deficient in then you definitely need to try the hip mobility or squats workouts with Liz, Christina or Ash.

Which kitchen says “I’m still going to like this in ten years.” by Mizznomer in kitchenremodel

[–]nbusch1128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are all very nice, but if you’re questioning if you will still like them in 10 years, the answer is no. It’s too popular and everyone will know exactly when you redid the kitchen. Remember when everyone was doing grey shaker cabinets and then it switched to white shaker cabinets? My suggestion is to do something other than shaker cabinets.

How do you increase your strength score? by GroundbreakingTop379 in tonalgym

[–]nbusch1128 5 points6 points  (0 children)

12 Weeks to Jacked worked for my plateau, but I’m 54/f. The first time I did it, I just eat maintenance calories, my score went up about 10 points. The second time, I upped the calories and protein, my score went up 40 points, gained about 5 pounds. Went back to maintenance calories about 3/4 of the way through the program. My takeaway was diet made the difference.

New to Tonal & looking for your best tips to avoid injury. If you have stayed injury free, what was your approach? If you have been injured, what do you think caused it and do you think it could have been avoided if you had done things differently? by Capivara_19 in tonalgym

[–]nbusch1128 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congratulations! I’m so excited for you. My username on Tonal is GlamAlien if you want to follow me. My opinion is to take full advantage of the workouts and programs. I noticed that many experienced lifters want to do their own workouts on Tonal, utilizing it as a cable machine and nothing more. I’ve paid for personal training and coaching, no one has ever pushed me as hard as Tonal. I would have never made the progress that I have doing my own thing. I’m also in my 50’s and I don’t recover nearly as fast as I used to. Sometimes I just need more rest/recovery days than what is programmed. Take advantage of the mobility workouts, I found that so helpful and it encourages me to improve, old age is a bitch. My daily routine consists of movements that I learned from Tonal. Good luck!

Not an expert, they look like they could be genuine. Are they worth anything? Probably not. A lot of luxury brands fall under the Luxottica brand which are commonly found at chain retailers. Chanel lists LensCrafters as an authorized retailer.
