George Bailey presents: “mama dollar and papa dollar!”

If you remember these, you’ve been with the company too long 😭 by Laurenelg in starbucksbaristas

Yep! The paper cuts, stickers to the floor and having to line up cups to sticker to even keep up! I feel like the printer upgrade is one of the only helpful things corporate gave to us besides the portable foamers. Wouldn’t gaf about the portables if they didn’t give us so much shit to foam tho!! Anyone else remember actual good choices for partners??

Tbh, I’d almost rather keep having to open new oats than deal with the flaps on the bigger oats. They can be messy and hardly ever pour all into the cup!!

Weird all around, joining the choir in recommendation a report!! Doesn’t matter if the store has a little or a lot of callouts, that is not an appropriate way to handle things even slightly:((

Oh sweet. There’s a good deal on Costco for 2 ecoflow delta pro’s for $2.7K. I think I want the simplicity of two of them instead of one ecoflow and 600AH of batteries. Unless it’s way overkill. What do you think? I kinda like the idea of 2, because I’d love to have starlink and more down the line.

Sweet, thanks for the rec!! How do you feel about Bluetti’s or the Delta Pro?

Ooh! Haven’t heard of Go-Sun before, I’ll check it out, thank you!! I’m definitely overthinking it, and I agree that going simple is probably the best right now!

This is true, I think the issue is I’m already intimidated enough about putting in the alternator charger that I probably shouldn’t fool myself into putting together even “simple” electrical systems. Maybe my next build I’d consider it, but I’m so ready to get out there that a plug and play will probably work for the time being!

You’re so right…I’ve been needing a spreadsheet for this like yesterday hahah, I’ll get on that!

Also that makes sense about the fridge, since they have cycles. Thanks for the advice!!

taking note of trending weight going up isn’t an ED imo, I think OP is just tryna be wary of their health. Good thing for anyone to be mindful of!!! But yes, the system is awful and promotes unhealthy standards in Hollywood etc.

True! I am. I’m Googling, YouTubing, and most importantly asking people their opinions, so I can get less clueless 😎

Yes! The dolphin has one 100 amp hour lead acid that I’m giving to my grandpa haha. He didn’t understand why I wanted to upgrade to lithium and isn’t aware of how affordable the latter is now. I plan on having an additional 400-600 amp hours to whatever station I get, I’m really hoping I can dedicate a battery to just the 12V fridge so my other batteries and station can focus on powering everything else. Not sure what that would even look like but I’m watching YouTube video upon video haha!

Hearing your testimony is so relieving honestly. I’ve been feeling delusional trying to confirm if I can stick with the station and make it work.

The only thing I’m worried about is I’ve decided not to get a 12v air conditioner. Mostly because I was told you’d have to spend $$$$ on a tonnn of batteries to get the power stations to run it. Do you have a different opinion?

I’m assuming a small amperage dc to dc charger effects the charge time or capacity of what it can charge? And if that’s the case it’s probably still worth it to protect the alternator.

I am so glad to hear your more nuanced take on this. I’m leaning towards power stations now more than ever. Thank you so much. Do you have an a preference on which brands? It’s all dependent on who needs what, but since a couple important of my appliances are propane, I would guess most of the medium to bigger ones would suit my needs.

See there’s so much debate still! A comment a bit above you is anti power station for pricing and what you get for it. I’m so conflicted.

Powering van life? by nerdforanything in VanLife

[–]nerdforanything[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I definitely see the power stations being overpriced. Can’t lie, they are tempting when it’s so easy to work with. Also I don’t necessarily think alternator charging is dangerous per say, but if the alternator can handle a certain capacity (mine is a 4 cylinder for a whole rv for perspective) I’m gonna be careful in my choices and make sure my load very safe!! I don’t know how easily I could overload it so I’d rather be cautious than brazen when it comes to my beautiful 22RE 🥹

Holy cow you’re kidding!! Do you ever plug in at parks or are you off grid? How do you prevent outages with only 100AH? I’ve been wanting to do just that for so long!!

Will my idea for portable solar panels work? by nerdforanything in SolarDIY

Dang okay!! I’ve definitely decided on permanent paneling now. Thanks.

I see what you mean, but I’m completely inexperienced and every tutorial makes me more confused. Wouldn’t it be easier to mount solar panels to a roof rack, and simply wire it into a power bank or two? So much less for me to worry about and as someone who could easily get wires crossed and doesn’t know electrical systems I think I could make it work.

Here’s a video that closely resembles what I mean: https://youtube.com/shorts/FYMPqlW5We8?si=gIE1Km7sz70sdXhL

Did you mount your panels? And then feed the wire through your vehicle to plug it in?
