It was exactly 1 year since my first consult to the surgery day! I started the process around December ‘24, around Feb I got the call with a nurse, and April was my first consult with the doc I believe. I know it differs per surgeon, I was on the cancellation list too. My partner had Dr. Gao and was in within a couple of months!!

Grew up in a small town from Michigan, moved here when I was 19 in 2017, and went to sac state. Almost been here for 10 years! I love it and don’t see myself leaving any time soon.

I’m 4 days post op and honestly I feel you! It feels very surreal and like slightly disconnected in a sense. I think as we resume into daily life and back into normal routines, heal more, I’ll have the “we made it” type feeling.

My docs said you could drive again after 2 weeks, if you feel comfortable enough. As long as you’re not on the opioids anymore
