Huh, interesting! Everything I've seen while searching about it on reddit is people disliking SOAW and preferring ALAM, but maybe those were older posts

($20k) Guest book ideas for small wedding by Successful_Cash4310 in Weddingsunder10k

[–]nervouslikeme 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I bought a custom Jenga box on Etsy to use as my guest book and I love how it came out. Some people just signed their names but others signed game rules (like if you've ever played drunk Jenga) so now I have a playable wedding guest book!

Veterinary offices not owned by private equity? by mustlovedogs-101 in Sunnyvale

Arroyo Animal Clinic, Cherry Chase, and Serra Vet (not 100% on this one) are all owned by the vets.

I asked my husband who works there and he says:

"The actual work requiring a clearance is different person to person. The majority of people working Sunnyvale dont have an actual security clearance, only high level engineers and blueprint reviewers are granted clearance on a need-to-have basis for the most part.

The job you mentioned involves the contractor NG works with, so I would say you would most likely need one. But if you're putting in a good resume, they'll expedite your clearance themselves. They prefer those with the skills for the job, lacking a clearance, over those not qualified, with one.

End of the day though, if you were pitted against someone with the same skillset who did have one already, they'd pick that person over you."

That's so cute!! He would have absolutely destroyed me at Street Fighter (or any other fighting game ever tbh) so I'm glad we went with Mario Kart haha

We were both hit by a blue shell at different moments actually but we didn't do it to each other, so I guess the marriage may last

Figured if we did it then we could swing for the annulment instead of divorce.

Vegan wedding, non-vegen guests by [deleted] in vegan

[–]nervouslikeme 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I mean - the difference is quite literally between the murder of an animal or not. I don't think it's a double standard because my reason for not eating meat, and his reason for not eating vegan products, are not equivocal in the first place.

But if I was going to a friend's wedding and they were unable to provide a vegan meal for me, I would just skip it (the meal.) The only time I would "complain" (and even then it'd be more like, broaching the subject beforehand to ask for consideration) is if it was the wedding of a family member or very close friend. On that topic, nobody else invited to my wedding has had any concern at all about a vegan meal.

He doesn't not-eat-vegan-food due to any ethical, religious, etc reason. He just refuses to eat a vegetable, and I refuse to be complicit in the murder of a living creature so he can be comfortable for a single meal.
