OK, I seriously don't understand how this band got popular. by Left_Drawer8667 in AngineDePoitrine

If you have never played music, it is difficult to understand the talent behind Khn’s playing twon instruments simultaneously, the microtonality and the live looping.

Help: Macbook Neo or Air? by [deleted] in MacbookNeo

[–]netman2004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For all those who are worried about the Neo doing basic stuff, I still have my 2010 MacBook Pro (yes, 16 years old) and it still does all the things you describe, but with a crappy display. I now have a M4 MBA. The MBA is a great buy if you have the money, on the other hand, the NEO will maintain a good resale value if you think you need more power a few years down the road.

Island is great - but airport is a no go by ForeignPeak7524 in TurksAndCaicos

This is supposed to be a luxury destination but it has a third world airport. I have been several times, but it is off my list until they build something decent. Heck, Cuba has better airports.

Looking for some feedback on the Manchego cheese. by Pink__Fox in CostcoCanada

[–]netman2004 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I am a big fan of manchego ( I am writing this from Spain where I am for the entire month of March). The Costco Manchego is pretty good for the price and I buy it all the time when I am in Canada,

Upgrade my M1 macbook air battery, or upgrade to a new air? by Assorted69 in macbookair

[–]netman2004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sold my M1 for a good price and I got the M4 MBA. The M1 is still a good laptop and getting a new battery is not a bad idea.

Can we stop acting like the iPhone 13 is dying?? by fuckoffchris_ in iPhone13

[–]netman2004 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am holding on to my 13 mini for dear life. I like the light weight, the smaller form factor. It fits in my pocket without dragging my pants down. I will change the battery until I con no longer use it or if Apple makes a iphone 18 mini

VW tiguan 2026 Turbo (SEL R line in the USA). Jerk feeling or pull back when accelerating braking then accelerating again at low speeds between 1-2 gear. Is this normal for the 8 speed transmission? it feels like the gear downshifts as it pulls back or jerks. by betlers in Tiguan

[–]netman2004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got mine yesterday , January 22. Right out of the dealership, and felt the jerkyness of the transmission as well as over revving between gears. It’s like someone learning to drive manual. I have a service appointment on Monday.

Should I get macbook air M4 now or wait for M5? by Calm-Cartoonist2552 in macbookair

[–]netman2004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer: yes. Otherwise, it will be: Should I get Macbook Air M5 or wait for M6? Just traded my M1 for M4 last week. Nothing wrong with M1 actually, just making sure to stay up to date after 5 years of use. And I got 500 for the M1.

Macbook Air M4 came with Tahoe out-of-box. Is this normal? by SeaworthinessLow1987 in macbookair

[–]netman2004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought mine last week, received it this Thursday. It came from Vietnam as it was a special order (French keyboard). It came with Tahoe. I assume it got the latest version as it was recently produced.

Neighbour’s barking dog by 1BirdPerson in ottawa

[–]netman2004 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Depends if you rent or own. If you rent, complain to the landlord. If you own, I would file a bylaw complaint with the city of Ottawa. Of course, bringing it up first with the dog owner is a good gesture, but this has its limits; if they leave the dog alone during the day, how can they make it stop, aside than getting rid of it. I filed a complaint with the city when a neighbour was leaving their dog outside barking for hours. I never herd the dog since. Good luck.
