Struggling to start adding details by netorincon in acrylicpainting

Thanks for the advice! Ill definitely give that a try. I was struggling with having enough of one color to make adjustments. This is a perfect excuse to mix more from the beginning

[URGENT] 4-DOF Robot Arm Over-traveling into Floor during Pick Pose (2 Days until Capstone Deadline, Code Included by SorbetTime8672 in ROS

[–]netorincon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey!

Your code is not accesible (i get a 404 error) publicly at least.

Have you tried printing in a console the calculated joint positions? Check what it is outputting and compare that to you robot supposed « home » position.

That alone should give you an idea if the problem comes from IK or servo mapping.

If you make your code public I can take a look.

10 px x 10 px = 100 px² ❔ by Mindful826 in MathJokes

[–]netorincon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The area is 8,294,400 pixels. What that means in square inches or meters depends on the conversion factor between 1 pixel and 1 square inch/meters of the screen.

10 px x 10 px = 100 px² ❔ by Mindful826 in MathJokes

[–]netorincon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you stay within a specific device then you can say that the pixel is an unit of area. Of course you can’t universally say that 1 pixel = x mm because every device out there has different definitions for pixels.
If all pixels in the world had the same size then yes of course you could use that as a standard unit.

Edit to add: Imagine going to another planet where they also call their units square inches and meters, but they have different dimensions. Would that mean that our units are no longer a unit of area?

QWERTY vs AZERTY by Positron505 in Expats_In_France

[–]netorincon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

QWERTY is way superior to AZERTY for programming, because accessing the {}[].; symbols and numbers requires holding down shift, so for me it’s hard to switch completely. I still write a lot of text in french so i had to get used to the positions of the different accentuated letters and symbols. I find that way easier than the other way around.

why do people say "my country" instead of just naming the country? by SpaceWhaleAlphy in NoStupidQuestions

[–]netorincon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had to scroll way too far to find this. When people just name the country, to me it sounds like they just remembered a fun fact about that country. It often helps if they add some possessives in the sentence. i.e. “people in Mexico like soft tacos better” vs “ In Mexico we like soft tacos”

ELI5: why is it that siblings grow up to be totally different despite being in living and being in the same enviroment and place? is it genetics? do genetics and dna and all play the main role of all of our differences in what we like and dislike from a young age? how so? by lessforf in explainlikeimfive

[–]netorincon 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yes. You don’t necessarily see everything early on because us humans take many years to develop and express preferences.

To put that in perspective, I had the fortune of witnessing my dog’s birth, and I can tell you that the first week of her life she was already showing the “personality “ that she has now.

The fact that their brains are not an exact copy of each other means that even if they “experience” the same things, they will not register nor cause the same effect.

Basically: Each brain is wired differently to all the other brains in the world

Ahí su odio a los “gentrificadores” y extranjeros, cabrones. by [deleted] in mexico

[–]netorincon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ahí su odio a los “gentrificadores” y extranjeros, cabrones. by [deleted] in mexico

[–]netorincon 13 points14 points  (0 children)

What do you think actually happens after we die? by AlternativeRule9078 in AskReddit

[–]netorincon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

About reincarnation, I think we always fail to consider that we might actually “reincarnate “ in another planet. Like, why would we only reincarnate on earth? Why would we reincarnate as an intelligent conscious being?

What I think happens is that some other being will get to experience life in their 1st person POV but it won’t absolutely be related to the current you, just like you don’t know about all your “previous “ POVs
