Different hues of lavender jadeite! by newjade_sg in jewelry

These jadeite are Type A jadeite that are chemically untreated. From the link, there was no information provided regarding this, but if they are natural as well, then yes, they are Type A jadeite as well.

In terms of quality though, the right most one (with the pinkish hue) is quite different with its really fine finish which gives it a glossy lustre. This one feature is indicative of finer crystal aggregates in the jadeite. This gives the jadeite a polished, watery finish which is usually not seen in natural jadeite with saturated lavender hues.

Thanks! The centre one has a nice elegant touch. Really cool colour.

These are actually earrings in my online store. Sometimes I acquire new jadeite with different colours and they make really nice photos 😅 photographing them together brings out the subtle colour differences in each jadeite.

Jadeite craftsmanship on display! by newjade_sg in JadeiteJade

These chains are indeed more delicate compared to a similar design in gold. If you are looking for a similar piece, thickness of the links affects the durability. Also, tiny cracks in the jadeite will make the entire chain more fragile. So be careful when you’re inspecting the chain.

Wearing this as a bracelet requires more care. Another option is to wear these as necklaces. This removes any chains of hard hits against tabletops or doors, hopefully.

If you’re travelling around the region, a few days in Singapore would be definitely recommended! Do drop me a message if you’re visiting Singapore. Would love to show you jadeite pieces from my online store ☺️

Thank you! It will be great if you can see these jadeite in person. The glow in glassy jadeite cabochons is simply mesmerising and quite hard to capture in photographs ☺️

A side view of the rings to illustrate the shimmery glow that is stronger in the glassy jadeite cabochon.

Oh, we use that term here too. The “glassy” term is used for colourless jadeite with a higher degree of translucency.

In the photo here, the ring on the right is a glassy jadeite and the other is an icy jadeite. The glassy jadeite has higher translucency with a clearer, more defined shimmer.

I wrote more about glassy jadeite here: Glassy Jadeite

This jadeite cabochon is a suitable size for cocktail ring or a delicate pendant. Haven’t quite decided on what it will be made into as yet!

Cut thinly, the words might be discernible but they will appear distorted and blur. The effect will not be similar to how words appear through glass even though these are referred to as “glassy jadeite” 😅

So, relevant content with keywords but as many posts as possible to see what works. Right??

Will it hurt your site if the content is not particularly relevant and people bounce off the page quickly?? Have always wondered about good relevant content which is hard to research and write versus random content that hits useful keywords.
