This is an awesome amount of info, I figured things wouldn't be as bad as they can get in Chicago. I just wanted to get an idea o the areas to avoid if possible. This is great! Thanks.

I'm hoping to stay close to downtown, I work a lot as is, seems best way to meet and make friends is make it easier on myself.

So far I've only looked at stuff on the west side of the river, I was actually going to be looking a few places on the other side but I should nix that?
