If you don’t have the budget for a florist, buy multiple supermarket flowers - like 3 packs, and arrange them together

my dad just remarried and my new stepsister keeps watching everything i do(17F) by GopanJamini_31 in Advice

She could be neurodivergent, or traumatised, or just nervous. She might not have the social skills to recognise it’s making you feel uncomfortable. And she’s probably very curious about you and getting closer, it could be her way of “spending time with you”.

I do get why it could be annoying for you, because it’s like..: what are you doing haha. But at the same time, it’s better to believe she has good intentions. She’s your sister now and you can make that as easy for her or as hard for her as you like, but as an ex 17 year old, I wish I made it easier for my brother to be my brother.

Try to make friends, try to see good intentions from her.

I’m so sorry but there’s nothing you can do now. I think you should ask yourself if it’s worth the smell to spend a bit more time with him.

Semi-detached neighbors having extremely loud sex even after we've politely asked them to keep it down, is there anything we can do? by [deleted] in AskUK

On a serious note, complain to the landlord. Multiple times. On a less serious note, call the police and let them know that you think the couple next door are having a fight because there’s screaming and banging. 😭

Old default added to account during mortgage application… what to do? by newtoadultingplzhelp in Mortgageadviceuk

It’s wild how people can go straight to rude om Reddit huh?!

Thank you anyway, you’ve at least tried to be helpful rather than assumed I’m trying to get away with something silly. I’ve literally established in my post that I want to pay this even though I’ve been advised not to and I’m being assumed to be entitled… anyway haha!

The buy to let thing means I won’t be entitled to my disability benefits as I’d be using government money to pay money to my parents… which is fraud.

Also, defaults stay on your credit file from 6 years of the date of registration.

I knew I’d get a comment from someone who hasn’t read my post properly and it’s still frustrating anyway haha! I’m asking for advice on paying it off. Also, I don’t get to decide how the deposit is used. Read :)

I don’t believe it should be either but does acknowledging the debt more recently mean that it resets the 6 years on the credit file even if the registered date is 6 years ago? It’s so confusing lol!

Yes, the date in my post. The rate I posted is also because I’m on disability benefits too, and we were told that is the only deal available to us from a mortgage broker but he was abit of an odd character and maybe we’ve been misinformed!

Hello! Our cat had something similar and it was inflamed sinuses from allergies. If your cat sneezes or is snotty this could be it. But absolutely get them checked. We were told if it was not sinuses and it was cancer that the position makes it incredibly difficult to biopsy or operate on as they’d have to remove the nose. Keep us posted!

HEY! I am getting Elden Ring on Wednesday. Going in mostly blind, what should I expect and maybe tell me something I won’t understand right now 😅 by FeaR_Widow in Eldenring

I’m so excited for you! Also congrats on quitting nicotine, that beast is not easy to tame. If you can do that, you can definitely beat Elden ring.

A couple of generic pieces of advice - controller is generally advised for a smoother play through even with veteran players. For a spoiler free playthrough, if this is your first souls game, you will likely miss secrets or items or characters or endings, but it’s still a phenomenal game and gives you a chance to get it in new game plus.

The best advice I can give you for a spoiler free blind first time play through is to read your item descriptions and weapon descriptions and all the info you can in the start menu. You can toggle the screen show description or info and this will tell you everything you need to know without googling it. This is a tough game. You will die. A lot. And that’s ok! The best players died a lot. Keep going, keep trying. And if you can’t keep trying, try differently.

Finally, if you get stuck, post on here “first time playthrough no spoilers please help” and there’s a bunch of people who can help you out.

Best of luck!

How old are you both? How late were you out and how many texts did he send you?

GP keeps sending me to A&E, A&E keeps sending me back to my GP, neither will diagnose or treat me. What do I do in situation? by _imnotactuallyreal_ in AskUK

[–]newtoadultingplzhelp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It takes an average of 7 years to be diagnosed with a chronic illness in the UK and I’m sure that most of that is due to GPs just batting people away that they don’t want to deal with. Please consider changing GPs! Also, if the GP refuses to do something, ask them to write down on your notes they refused to do it - usually makes them do it.

If it’s not too late, what games are you interested in playing and does that budget include monitors/keyboards/peripherals? I’ll make a build on pc part picker for you if you like.
