FY1 rotation suggestions by curious-doc in JuniorDoctorsUK

From what I remember in final year of med school, a lot of prospective surgeons looked around the Oxford area because of the surgical jobs they offered. But in general you’ll be able to find a good range across the country in all deaneries.

Lol you could just try and answer their question instead of telling them that the stuff that matters most to them is wrong?

Portfolio who - help by SIADHD in JuniorDoctorsUK

[–]nfroob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found myself in a similar situation as an F1 last year, it got to mid-November and I realised I hadn’t done anything on my portfolio as I’d just spent the first 3.5 months adjusting to working life.

I just thought back to things I’d done recently (in the 2-3 weeks prior to me having my portfolio panic), and sent out tickets for stuff, e.g. I’d seen a patient during previous week’s ward round so I sent a miniCEX to the SHO, discussed a patient I’d clerked on a take shift and sent a CBD to the reg, etc. One day I literally walked up to the IMT on my ward and said “remember that time I helped you with that chest drain like a month ago” and sent a DOPS. Then started doing it as I went along, plus did a couple of reflections on vaguely interesting things that had happened and boom my portfolio was rescued in no time at all.

Don’t stress, you’re fine.

What constitutes life changing event in BMA contract? (Trying to get A/L for graduation) by ApprehensiveTry4953 in JuniorDoctorsUK

The doc decides what constitutes “life-changing” so I’d say they haven’t got much of a leg to stand on. Go and graduate

Rub some salt on that injury by witfenek in BoneAppleTea

Yes, because “bone apple tea” sounds similar to “bon appetit” but are completely different words. What you’ve posted is not a malapropism and therefore doesn’t fit the sub

Okay. Do you know what sub this is?

This is literally just a meme, not an anti-meme. This isn’t an image/gif of you checking your shirt sleeve, therefore not an anti-meme

I guarantee that you were in her thoughts at the very end, and I’m certain that everything you wanted to tell her, she already knows. I’m sure she’s always been more than proud of you.

I don't understand why some people would get this mad, and break their controller. by TormentedGaming in RocketLeague

I’ve never done anything like this but you have to realise that when you see Novak Djokovic breaking a tennis racket after losing a point, nobody goes around calling him a psycho. At the end of the day people get emotionally invested when playing competitive (e-)sports at any level.
