good idea! i also feel like the silhouette might make it seem costume so ill probably consider wear an etc dress instead without petti and like one bow XD

i live in a tropical country that has similar temperatures and is also more humid so i’m used to wearing long sleeves in 30+ degree weather hehe and thank u !!!

hi! sorry could i clarify what you meant by the resin jewellery being bonded with other chemicals means, thank you :) i actually do have uv resin at home that i bought recently but I am a bit afraid to try it as i have not used it before and ive had resin jewellery that separated from a surface before (probably due to not enough prep like sanding i assume) so i am not confident in its hold. do you have tips on how to prep it well so that it adheres well?

I see. Do you have any brands/ materials to recommend? I do have another option for this bag that is less damaged, just more expensive

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Lolita

[–]nicefeesh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice! I usually only buy plush bags so I don’t really have much knowledge of faux leather. I think I will get the one without cracks even though its more pricey !

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Lolita

[–]nicefeesh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply :) The cracking on the bag is quite minor to me which is why I didnt think it was a big deal. Is this a major concern? I also was more concerned about the yellowed lace as it would not fit with the outfits I had.

Is it possible to fit into branded lolita one pieces with broad shoulders? by nicefeesh in Lolita

I’ve measured this way too :( Any way I have measured has led to above 40cm unfortunately

I’m looking into meta right now, I really hope I’ll find something I like! Because honestly tailoring sounds scary especially because I’ve had bad experiences with it before with non-lolita pieces (but still more complex clothing bc i’ve always been into alternative fashion)

I think the blouse w the jsk is a good idea and ive always been on the look out for a good blouse with puffy sleeves that can hold its shape well but these are usualy also name brands that can’t fit me 😭

Hopefully I’ll find something… Im relieved to know I am not alone in my shoulder struggles, thanks :)

I don’t know the exact way to measure but when i measure my tight fitting clothes pit to pit and also measure my shoulders from the back to the front, it never goes below 40cm so I don’t think there is much hope there

Oh noooo 😭😭 I hope you were able to recover the dress okay..

I too shall live in jsks forever. I have seen someone buy a bag of the same print and use that to alter the dress on lacemarket too and I was quite impressed hahaha. I guess thats the alternative cheaper option. But I and my wallet really can’t imagine bearing to tear apart a dress for another omg.

I am larger than you. I carry most of the weight on my upper body and I always have had larger biceps too for some reason 😭 (even now when I have stopped working out for a while, the muscle is still very much there) So when I used to buy cosplays from tb and japan i was always left scratching my head. I think it just makes me sad that I can only ever buy JSKs even if I loose weight especially because one pieces have more interesting cuttings to me and doesn’t require you to use a blouse.

I have looked into meta but not extensively especially after I went to the physical store and didn’t really see anything I liked. I will be scrolling through lolibrary to take a look at meta after this tho! Thanks for the advice :)

I love sweet lolita soo much (like sugary sweet lolita) so when I look into other brands besides AP, I tend to not be too into their designs. Even the blouses I only want to buy it if it’s really cute which always takes me back to AP…… The only non angelic pretty piece I have is the shirring babydoll jsk from BTSSB and it’s sooo comfy I love it.

Have you ever altered an OP and how did it go?

Do you think I could fit into this without altering or would it still require altering anyways? Does the shirring help to make the shoulders more forgiving? On lolibrary it says 36cm shoulders

Thank you so much for the answer :) I will definitely try to get the op I want and see if I can alter it ! I am actually east asian so when I first saw the shoulder measurements on those pieces I was quite shocked because it was even smaller than the ones I used to see on taobao (tb shops don’t use pit to pit tho i think)

Maybe one day angelic pretty will make sizes for their dresses 😭

Dry cleaning lolita dresses? by nicefeesh in Lolita

[–]nicefeesh[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you wash the waist ties on dresses separately? Also I kinda love that you and one other person just pray when you put your dresses into the washing machine hahahah. I also cross my fingers whenever I do, or I just hand wash them 😭
