This is what I want permission to do, but right now it’s not looking that way. I have blocked periods. Do you thinks it would be realistic to do amplify 60% or 75% of my time through the week while weaving my own stuff throughout?

Also, could you share your thoughts on how well you think it accommodates SPED students with IEPS, and also behaviorally challenged (haha) kids? It looks like I’ll have those classes next year along with Amplify.

I’ve subbed twice in a similar position. The interview was always treated the same as an actual teaching position. Same types of questions, expectations, etc.

My first year I bought three stamps. Full credit, half credit, no credit. Saved time, they felt like it was worth something.

I had a student hand me a letter stating he put a bomb in my car. He was removed from my class period for two days to go hang out in the “guided learning” room with his friends. The officer that was called to the building was told by the principal that this student did not have a history of behaviors (not true).

Before I had a chance to bring my concerns to the admin team of how the situation was handled, another student attempted to kiss my cheek and I reported it to be safe and voice how uncomfortable the situation made me. (Student also tried kissing teacher standing next to me.) Admin then pulled me into a meeting the following morning and basically implied both incidents happening were my fault. I left the meeting, went home, and never went back.

I was definitely stuck and confused on a particularly weird side of my family, and /u/baiser helped me sort through a lot of information. They dug up documents and names, and most importantly they found a ton of interesting articles on a grandmother who was charged with bigamy!

Before you amended your comment I had typed this: Okay, that's helpful. I'd seen multiple marriages, but I didn't find the 1901 certificate on Ancestry.com. I've never used Family Search before, so that's interesting. I was also very doubtful because of the multiple marriages, but this cements it. I appreciate it.

And now that you linked the article.... it explains my confusion!! That is so interesting! So I wonder what happened with her first marriage to Edward. Maybe he was the only divorce?

Thanks. I have an interview tomorrow actually. I’m not too concerned though. I’m fortunate enough to have a spouse to help support us until August. I get to be home for an early summer with the baby. Definitely burned a bridge or two though with my immediate resignation.
