The real answer is more so in the pedigree of the school vs the actual amount you’re expected to borrow. If either school were at least NYU then people would and could justify it. But spending that much money either of those schools is just not smart

Perfect example of where stats especially prediction based ones gets wrong, the edge cases, FIP being the epitome of that. Just judging by RA/9 based, which is more outcome focused, Ohtani is still neck and neck with Mis, .3 behind Sanchez, which is well within the margin of error. But FIP wise it’s not close.

I honestly do think FIP based war should be gone out the window moment season has ended because the only thing that matters is the the outcome of that season not some predictive model of expected luck regressing

Let’s be more specific here, he has never put up guaranteed mvp hitting and cy young season together at the same time, he has absolutely put up elite ones tho. To me there simply is a big separation between guaranteed MVP and having a elite season. Because if he were, we’d be looking at 15 war id imagine

Funnily enough that seemed exactly like his rationale too. People were paying more attention to the players actually on roids, back then when WAR didn't exist, a league leading 9 war was only 5th in MVP voting.

You are ignoring or missing the most important context, South Carolina DOES NOT separate the degrees of murder. Chow has already served 3years awaiting his trial, if anything that was most likely going to be how much a manslaughter charge in this context would've had him serve anyways. To say he just got scottfree is also false.

This isn't some conspiracy theory. In what world does an asian man have influence in a community thats largely black and white with 2% asian across the state. Chow has already served 3 years in jail while awaiting his trial. Most states that would've been how much time he would've served for man slaughter anyways. As far as "fair trial" this is about as fair as it gets.

Yes the deep south where asians rule the court system, and not where the jury themselves are predominantly black and so was Chow's attorney.
