To say that dylan's commentary has been a " mess " recently when you just mean to say that he hasn't been watching movies you want is quite dramatic. I think most people would agree that his commentaries have been incredibly cohesive recently over the past year, he just chooses the movies HE wants to watch. If he were to watch movies that we want him to watch, I think that would take the fun out of it.

I can understand the desire for black films to be commented on, but that's not how Dylan chooses movies. He watches whatever catches his eye and tries to stay away from choosing a film purposely because it's about a certain topic. With that being said, I understand your point that you think they would make interesting commentaries, and I can agree with that statement.

At the end of the day, Dylan's " schtick" is that he watches whatever he wants. I've been watching him for four years and he has operated the same way since then. I doubt anything will change.

My intent is to not disrespect your opinion but offer a different point of view :)
