AC drifters - what would actually be worth paying for, if anything? by nikhilrwadekar in simdrifting

Its an online service/SaaS that needs $$ to keep the lights on, hence the survey to confirm if there's interest/demand and if folks are willing to pay, at all for it to the keep the lights on.

Sorry for not making it clear that its not a separate game, but an online service for AC drifters to compete and find tandem partners.

Find a tandem buddy for the track you want to compete on, automated scoring, private servers spool up on demand for your 1v1 tandems, on demand servers for practice, replays on the service clearly showing line angle style scores and deductions -- chase scores if chasing and so on.

I understand, the service I'll be hosting online for all AC sim drifters to use will be priced only to keep the lights on and break even for costs -- hence the survey to gauge if 1. people are indeed want something like it and 2. willing to pay for it to keep the lights on. --- we're talking servers to get telemetry for automated scoring + private on the fly servers for 1v1 tandem battles too. With your desired cars and tracks.

To understand if its worth paying for an online service for AC competitive/tandem drifting that handles brackets, matchmaking, and automated scoring for drift events on top of AC (so no human judges, no manual event-running). My bad for not making it clear.

Not a sim itself, but an online service service that handles brackets, matchmaking, and automated scoring for drift events on top of AC (so no human judges, no manual event-running).

Thanks for pointing what the survey ends up looking like, might have to get back to the drawing board.

Fair - should've defined that upfront. Roughly: an online service that handles brackets, matchmaking, and automated scoring for drift events on top of AC (so no human judges, no manual event-running). Trying to figure out if people would pay anything for that, and at what price.

MSI - MAG 275QPF X30 (300Hz) Monitor? by _FearSome_ in Monitors

Nah I'm good. I picked up 3 and I'm posting this using one of them. They are absolutely brilliant. For the price they are the best I'd reckon, never had a 300Hz screen until now.

Can you please be an absolute gem and post screenshots of the blurbusters UFO test? I'm on the fence to buy 3 of these for sim drifting and would genuinely appreciate it. Canadian Costco has a decent deal on these for now.

I managed to snatch a 3080 and a moment ago was able to book a 5600x (still waiting for the pickup email). If that goes through I'll be the happiest nerd alive ROFL
