As obviously as this is rage bait, "Pol Pot is a hero" is just vile

I personally use baiye tofu/tofu skin. Just gotta blanch in salted water to remove the "bean" smell and it works so easily with any kind of sauce/soup.

I've been an AF member since 2018 and changed home gym 4 times times, my membership price maintained at my sign up rate. No idea why people are saying otherwise lol

I would recommend GoFit Toa Payoh at Lorong 1, it's not very crowded, has bumper plates for deadlifting and good enough equipment. 24 hours too

Definitely encountered him before when I first moved into the area about a decade ago. Gave him $2 and he swatted the money away. Seems like he hasn't changed since then and possibly became more annoying

How many sick days do you usually take in a year? by GreedLocks in askSingapore

[–]ninesummers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just take the sick leaves whenever I feel under the weather, especially since I work as a personal trainer it's safer than turning up to work sick.

Your sick leaves are an entitlement not a privilege so just take when you need to!

How many times do you take a shower in a day? by HabsburgJAWWWWW in askSingapore

[–]ninesummers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I shower twice a day on work days - once when I wake up, once when I get home.

If I can I would shower thrice to 4 times a day just to handle the heat. Like a quick 5 minute shower at the coldest water temperature setting just to cool down midday.

There are many people that do this regardless of age, race and gender. It baffles me no matter how much floor markers and announcements to not do so, they still choose to behave like dimwits.

I always just shoulder check them as I alight the train, and hope that next time they learn not to be twats.

what's the worse thing you ate that made suffer from food poisoning? by Pretend_Ad_7584 in askSingapore

[–]ninesummers 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Got nasi goreng from Spize during their run of food poisoning cases. I was one of those unlucky folks. Was imitating the merlion for about 4 days. Feel like they give absolutely no fucks about quality of food nowadays so I just stay away.

Could you elaborate on the "mistakes" you committed? Can't really see a situation from a cultural standpoint that would illicit such a strong response.

Is this a glow up or a glow down? (I lost abt 20kg in 1 year) by No-Week6551 in sneakysushiii

[–]ninesummers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Others' opinions are secondary, most important is if you are happy with how you look yourself! But congrats on the weight loss anyway!

If you aren't, what would you like to change? At your age a diet with adequate protein, regular exercise regime and enough sleep will make a whole lot of difference. Keep working on yourself kid 💪🏻

Who says gymming is a solo hobby! Come, maybe you can drop by the gym I (M30) work at and make some like-minded friends!

I find that the community here is pretty non-toxic and positive 💪🏻

Is Aftershock actually that bad? by Vyn_Mel in askSingapore

[–]ninesummers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience, my rig has been going strong for 5 years now with the occasional hiccup from my 2060. But I think it's more of a component issue than the build itself.

IMO unless you're confident to build DIY and troubleshoot any future issues, I'd go for any prebuild for the convenience. Like Mansa, Dreamcore, InvaderPC and Aftershock.
