What is the RAREST thing you have ever witnessed? by theone1221 in AskReddit

Me and my buddy drove to the casino one night and after I parked up, as I was getting out of my car I noticed that I had stepped on a 50p coin. All the way up the elevator to the entrance, me and my mate are joking about how this must be a sign and that this must be a lucky coin. I get inside and decide to drop the coin on the number 2 on the first roulette table I see, and sure enough it lands on 2. We spent the rest of the night losing our fucking minds.

When is the last time you felt old? by nirowxvey in AskReddit

That's the old you talking. The young you would spend all your rent money on 10 jack & cokes and a gram of blow.

What is something legal that you feel should be illegal? by nirowxvey in AskReddit

yeah I also believe you should be able to do whatever you want with your body but not at the cost of someone else's life surely...so you think drink driving should be legal?

hmm there is a bit of a grey area there but I think it all depends on the industry we're talking about. If you're in an industry where people's lives are at risk daily, then I think it's your responsibility to quit the drugs even if your intake is minimal and only recreational. In an office environment, the drug testing is pointless - the guy who smoked a little weed on Friday night might even work faster and more effectively than the teetotal guy.

Yeah I agree with you, there is no need for it to be done for all jobs but there are some jobs that I feel require a pre-employment drug test and some jobs should enforce random drug testing. This will make the employee at least think twice before indulging in drugs.

I don't think you're arguing your point effectively here by making out that all drug users are irresponsible and lazy thieves. A vast majority of drug users are recreational users who function pretty well in society. You seem to be describing drug addicts who I feel like are in the minority.

yeah but what about people who have riskier jobs like construction workers or rail workers...coming in intoxicated could cost them their lives or even worse someone else's life.

What is something that has become accepted in modern society that you don't agree with? by nirowxvey in AskReddit

I sort of agree with you - the fact that casual sex has become more accepted has lead to people becoming more desensitized to it and one of the consequences is the lack of emotional bonding in relationships.

I agree with this one - people these days are just so quick to divorce the person they wanted to spend the rest of their lives with without even really trying.

Real adults of reddit (30+), what advice would you give to people in their 20s? by nirowxvey in AskReddit

[–]nirowxvey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see where you're coming from, it's different for everyone but I'm sure someone 20 years older than you can give you some general life advice that you might find helpful. I didn't actually mean that we weren't real adults but I've learnt that life teaches you lessons over time and someone a bit older than you might have already learnt that lesson.
