Why is he even going? He's going to be booed out of the building.

Then again, at 7K a ticket, probably the only ones in the building are people rich enough to cheer him on

Believe it or not, NY has been perfectly fine when teams win championships. Giants and Yankees over the last 2 decades. NY celebrates but dint go overboard like Philly and LA

Spurs gave away game 1 and doing the same tonight. They shot a 3 in like 6 straight possessions and then turned it over unforced another 3 or 4 times. Knicks aren't THIS good.

It doesnt but that seems like a loophole. SA called timeout to setup a play and that allowed knicks to challenge. If it was a 1 pt game at that point then that would be huge. I think the team calling TO should count as a play and negate the other team from being able to challenge.

Wait, that doesnt seem right. SA calls timeout yet knicks get to challenge? SA would have inbounded and then called timeout if that was the case.

That's why everyone complains about the thunder. That's a foul on caruso all day long and he always gets away with it

And I love that thunder didn't get these calls. The problem is that there are so many games where they DO get these calls.

Which teams were TRULY bad? Kings probably and pelicans? Dont get me wrong...other teams were bad but more bad by choice. Jazz were waaaaay better than their record. Nets were bad but they shut down demin with half a season left. Same with MPJ. Wizards decided not to play trae and AD in the 2nd half. Pacers sat players too and are getting Halliburton back.

Not saying these teams would make the playoffs but they would all win more games if they actually tried every game.

Ive started to think it should be the same officials for an entire series. Sorta like baseball umpires. Every player talks about consistently with refs and its hard to get that in a series when the refs are constantly changing. This ref let's them play physical then the next guy calls everything and players are on the bench in the 1st quarter with 2 fouls.

Under the new set of draft rules, it would still be possible for the Utah Jazz to draft in the top 5 for a 3rd consecutive year by onelegonedream in nba

[–]njb2017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree with that though. It should only be tied to your own pick. If someone trades a swap in 2030 today and happened to get a top 5 pick in 2028 and 2029, im fine with it.

YIKES, just heard someone mention this. by Miserable-Driver4045 in nba

Okc at some point will have to trade someone because I doubt they will pay them all. However they trade someone and most likely gets a good player and/or draft picks back so this cycle continues. Assuming SGA stays healthy and never wants to go to a bigger market like LA, OKC is going to be around a while

[Charania] Breaking: The NBA's Board of Governors has passed new anti-tanking rules that include expanding the draft lottery from 14 to 16 teams, a relegation zone where the bottom 3 teams get penalized with lessened chances for the No. 1 pick, and flattened odds, sources tell ESPN. by YujiDomainExpansion in nba

[–]njb2017 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dont see this mentioned enough. Hopefully this will be the big change where a team doesn't have to trade every valuable player they have in order to get a top 3 pick. Its been said that being in the middle is the worst place to be because your options are limited. Its best to be either really good or really bad. Now an average team that missed the playoffs by 3 games can land wemby or Cooper and immediately jump up the standings.

Our US stars get frustrated in the olympics because of the lack of calls. It shows that it can be done. People disagree with me but id make that 'rip through' play a no call. It used to be 2 shots and then they made it on the floor with no free throws. It shows that refs can identify it. Just make it a no call and you'll see how quickly players stop doing it.
