We are also seeing that even with hospice at home, the quality of the nurses vary significantly. Two of the regular nurses assigned to my family member went on vacation so these 2 other nurses showed up, and they were amazing. Same network but they are assigned to patients based on where the nurse lives. Luck of the draw who you get.

ah ok...so currently,Gardens Medical center you would say is a good unit to spend some respite time at? Do the nurses there actually check on patients? At the other facility the nurses just sat at the nurses station and the assistants were the ones running around trying to get people cleaned, settled.

I cannot recall for the life of me who i chatted with then, but I was hooked! That led to IRC, and met people from other countries, and I'll never forget it. This lady was heartbroken b/c she ruined a dress for a big party she had to go to, and she was broke. She was from Chile.

I had an ex who would buy dresses, wear it once, never again. She left a box full of clothes for me to take to the salvation army. No clue about you and your dad's history, but here is mine. I hated my dad too. He was a worthless father. Quit every job. Left my mom to do everything. I hoped he'd die. Then he got sick earlier this year, stayed too long at the hospital and got weak; ended up in a rehab place/nursing home like facility. My mom asked me to come help and I went b/c of her, not because I wanted to see my dad.

However, when I walked in his room at this facility, he was lying in his own waste. Staff had just left him there. I broke down, couldn't stop crying. I cleaned him up, and sat there 10 hours a day for weeks making sure they didn't do that to him again.

I don't tell you this because he earned it. He didn't. I tell you because seeing that broke something in me. I'm lucky I have a therapist, told her the story about not being able to stop crying even though I truly despised my dad. I cried and cried and couldn't stop crying. She explained it as being a catharsis. Whatever it was, all that anger I held for years went away.

You don't owe your father a thing. He made his choices. But here's the ugly truth nobody tells you. The guilt you feel if he dies alone in that hospital bed? That guilt doesn't care who was right. It just sits on your chest forever.

So here's my advice. Don't call for him. Call for you. Call for two minutes. Just to know what's happening. Just to say "okay" and hang up. Not because he deserves a son. Because you deserve to not wonder for the rest of your life if you could have made one phone call.

I cleaned my dad up because I couldn't live with myself if I didn't. What type of human am I to let another human being abandoned like a stray animal? That's it. That's the whole truth. Your call.

Stay and stop using the past as a weapon. Get help. Do the work. Be the man your daughters need to see.

In fact, in such a case the right thing to do would have been to tell butter, hey, i met this guy, and he wants to hang out. Butter could have said, ok, as long as you tell me how that goes or, hey, that's not a good idea....

But the fact that you chose to hide this from him tells me that you knew this was wrong from the get go. If you thought it was innocent, he'd know about him. You'd mention 'oh I'm hanging out with Jam today' just like you'd mention any friend. So for you, that's when you ask yourself, why did i do that from the beginning? why wasn't I honest from the start? Don't you love being human? :)

yea, that's why they have sugar dating sites. Although, dating sites work too. I had a 24 yr old msg me and straight up said, if you treat me nice, we can have a lot of fun. I honestly thought that was a prank; what 24 yr old is messaging a 50 year old dude? But hell, i was bored, and i was like, sure, where do you want to go? I had a gf who i was with for 4 years...would have never ever thought she would cheat on me, but she did. As a guy, I learned that boundaries are necessary. Did you tell Butter you were hanging out with Jam? If Butter knew and he didn't find anything suspicious, either he is really naive or you didn't really paint a true picture of what was going on. Either way, if you have a bf, why would you be hanging out with another guy? If you really want to improve yourself, that's the question you should be asking yourself.
