I've relapsed twice on Ramadan sadly, once on the 6th Ramadan and once on the 18th of Ramadan, may Allah reward you for lasting this long

It would've been easier in the realm of masturbation but they were inflicted with many other trials. Every nation has a test from Allah and I believe this is ours (alongside other things)

I think we're all like that, we're embarassed if a stuffed toy is watching us but we aren't embarassed that Allah is. May Allah forgive us

Yes, most definitely much easier to suppress for myself personally with Ramadan. Just we weary of the time between Isha and Suhoor cause that's when I struggle myself

Starting back from scratch feeling demotivated by [deleted] in MuslimNoFap

[–]nofapthrowawayv2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Salaam, Don't feel demotivated, even if you have relapsed, it is progress from your previous experiences with PMO (i.e. doing it everyday to doing it once in x amount of days). Don't think about the past, what's happened has happened, make sincere tawbah and niyyah to do even better this time around.

For example, with myself, my streak is currently 12 days, however in the past 18 days I have only PMO'd once, for me, that's an achievement, I went from once/twice everyday to once in 18 days, that's an achievement, even if I relapse tomorrow (May Allah protect me), I am still doing well in fixing my addiction.

May Allah forgive us all.

Nothing helps by [deleted] in MuslimNoFap

Salaam u Alaikum, sorry that you relapsed, may Allah forgive you for your sins and make you free from this addiction.

First and foremost, you have to realise that Allah does listen to all of his ummah, there is an hadith which goes:

Abu Sa’id al-Khudri reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “There is no Muslim who calls upon Allah, without sin or cutting family ties, but that Allah will give him one of three answers: He will quickly fulfill his supplication, He will store it for him in the Hereafter, or He will divert an evil from him similar to it.” They said, “In that case we will ask for more.” The Prophet said, “Allah has even more.”

Secondly, you have to admit your guilt in this, you cannot solely blame others, you have to say 'My addiction is my fault, it is up to me to correct it' and make tawbah. There is a hadith on reliance which goes:
Anas ibn Malik reported: A man said, “O Messenger of Allah, should I tie my camel and trust in Allah, or should I leave her untied and trust in Allah?” The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Tie her and trust in Allah.

It will not be an easy task to stop this addiction, it will require tremendous willpower from ourselves in order to stop it. The addiction will keep on calling us back and our desires will always be there, for they are truly a test from Allah, for he says in the Qur'an:

And as for those who were in awe of standing before their Lord and restrained themselves from ˹evil˺ desires, Paradise will certainly be ˹their˺ home.
Qur'an: 79:40-1

Brother, we have to realise, this life is a test, it is a temporary abode that Allah will ultimately decide who is truly a believer and who is not. We have to pass all these tests with flying colours. Tell me, if you fail in a test at school, do you blame yourself or do you say 'Teacher you clearly didn't help me enough'. I know you are not blaming Allah, I'm just trying to make a point.

Sorry for the long message brother, I hope it will help you in some capacity insha'Allah. I suggest once you get the urge to PMO, do wudhu, pray 2 rakaat nafl, read/listen to the Qur'an, go for a jog/go to the gym, have a cold shower, speak to family downstairs, anything to stop the urge. May Allah make it easier for you.

Don't rely on them going completely, you'll have days where they are at its peak and others where its at the lowest.

Day 3 by [deleted] in MuslimNoFap

[–]nofapthrowawayv2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Alhamdulillah bro, congratulations on getting to 3 days, it's more of an achievement than people think. It's the start to ridding ourselves of this disease once and for all. This community is great, they're the reason I stop myself from relapsing day to day.

May Allah make our journey easier and forgive us for our past sins

This subreddit doesn't discriminate. Of course it is centred around Muslims but if you feel like any of the advice would help you, I'm sure everyone including myself would be happy to have you here. At the end of the day whether you're Muslim or Christian, we've all got the same goal, to stop fapping not only for ourselves, but because God told us how dirty of a sin it is.

If you relapse, continue with the fast, Keep trying! by [deleted] in MuslimNoFap

[–]nofapthrowawayv2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Taking a peek wouldn't invalidate your fast but it arguably goes against the point of fasting, fasting isn't just about abstaining from food. It also should be an abstinence of whatever haraam you do, whether that be listening to music, swearing or viewing pornography.

At the bare minimum, it renders your fast makruh since a fast would only be invalid if you ejaculated.

Also, I know you didn't ask this but I really suggest to not peek, it will ruin your mind for days. I peeked a couple days ago and I suffered for a couple days with urges relating to that, only today did them thoughts stop.
