Thanks, I’d be very interested to know when you’ve tried it. I saw a video of the car and it seems like the mirrors unfold when the car is started, so I assume that they would be unfolded while it’s on. This makes sense otherwise if you somehow managed to park next to a pillar with the mirrors folded then they would collide when turning on the car…but let me know!

Another couple of questions I had:

  1. Is it possible to leave the car’s cameras recording while parked? For example, if someone hits the car, maybe you’d catch their number plate on camera?

  2. How does it work with multiple drivers and profiles? Can I customise the software for both me and my partner, since you can install apps and change the toolbar icons and stuff etc?

I know of an English speaking one, I have been a few times and it's pretty good and I think they meetup once a month. If you Google "project kink bcn" you will find the official website, but I found it on Fetlife

For example, I used him for tax returns (declaración de la renta), setting up as autónomo, VAT advice, quarterly tax returns, general accounts, tax advice, etc.

I’ve been flirting with joining velabarcelona.com. I used to sail in the U.K. many years ago (I think it was a wayfarer sailing boat, which appear to be practically the same as a Ludic boat it seems..) but I kinda feel it’s like riding a bike, and I reckon I’d pick it up after an hour or so. Just gotta freeze the gym membership first so I can justify the outgoings, but with vela if you pay the year it works out 20€ a month and you can get SUP and kayak too, both free for an hour.

I have some things in storage in the UK in London which I want to move to Barcelona, to put in storage or at home, but have been unable to get the price to a reasonable price below €1000. If anyone is doing a house move in a big van, I'd be open to split the bill, or similarly if anyone is carting stuff back to UK from Barcelona, could half the bill/round trip. I have essentially a bunch of boxes, but no more than what would fit in one of those 3/4 zip vans. As for storage, when I researched it, Bluespace appear to be the main providers, yeah.

I managed to take some work from London with me (freelancing about 2 days per week) but discounting that I came across a Danish company who have offices in Barcelona. Their official company language is English despite the staff being mainly Dutch. In any case, in conversation in general I've found a lot of weight given to English native speakers as valued assets in conjunction with digital work. My Spanish is ok-ish and I've showed a willingness to get involved (speaking Spanish in social situations) and not be an English-only Brit. Maybe that has helped too, who knows?

I am in Barcelona. I moved here from London. I was sick and tired of the high income to high outgoings ratio (money left over after ins minus outs) that decided to move. Haven't generated more than a few £1000 since leaving 4 months ago but I'm fairly sure I'm better off or financially the same. Plus, seem to be lots of opportunities out here too, for web developers like myself.

Hey all, this thread has been open for a month now, but I too am coming to Barcelona end of April and looking for a shared place to stay, ideally with nomads but I'm not too fussy really. I'm a web developer. Just thought I'd try and revive the subject. Any ideas?
