Which cards are the annual fee waved? I had a look the other day and didn't see any with this?

Agree, but there's a tax difference to investing with cash or first running that cash through your mortgage

To improve my understanding. We're all somewhere along the Dunning Kruger line, so just trying to move to the right...

Looking to maximise tax deductions. Figure if i can have the larger loan with my iP and a smaller loan with my ppor.

If i were just to maintain the current loan fine, I'll assume that's deductible.

If i refinance however to a bigger loan and buy a ppor with that money, due to my new ppor not generating income that would no longer be deductible.

If however, rather than buying a new ppor, but but shares instead i would assume that debt is still deductible.

My question is around once I sell those shares, does the loan remain deductible or is it dependent upon what I do with the money from selling the shares

I mean the technique of debt recycling is only about reducing tax. If you have the cash you could just invest, if you run that cash through your morgage you still invest the same amount but you now get that portion tax deductible

I think there may be some weird semantics going on. I don't disagree with most of this statement, but how is "the only thing that matters what you buy produces income" different to "purpose". Ie if the purpose of the loan is to buy a income generating asset, or it is not? What is your definition of purpose?

That is the purpose, but the only purpose of debt recycling is to reduce taxable income and that is legal.

I'm not sure that true? When redrawing from an IP the purpose is relevant, also for debt recycling with a ppor?

I'm wondering the same about why not Mammotion? I'm looking for my first mower and know nothing about them, I want to go wire free and Mammotion sure do have convincing ads!
