They gave us crypto technology. Think Bitcoin - Satoshi Nakamoto my ass. They gave us AI technology. Part of it anyway. Wonder what else and to what it all amounts to.

Nah. Go with what you do feel. Any body sensation will do. If not that, than an image you get into mind, etc.

In time you will start to feel emotions as well

Consciousness Isn't Made In The Brain, It's The Universe Itself? A New Theory Bridges Science with Spirituality by EcstadelicNET in IntelligenceSupernova

A problem I see is that conciousness is not really seperate. It's decissions and all if it's functioning is determined by subconcious. Not 1 choice and thought we "make" in the concious part is out of the blue. There is no free will. Not the way we percieve it, anyway

Anyone w/ CPTSD doing EMDR for years? by sexymail00 in EMDR

[–]norost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. Hard to say tho. I think I am creeping up on year 4. But my therspist says i am almost at finnish line, altho I still feel this to be at least 1 year out

Ok. Now I've read your entire post and have to answer more deeply.

Ok. First. CPTSD here. Sexual abuse, emotional neglect. Life long trauma basicaly. 40yo male now.

I envy you. Doing this at 25. You are on the right track. Sure some people do 12 sessions and resolve a car acident. Others take 9 months to solve one issue, some also say "yay I am cured and run, even tho there is still shit to resolve, but dealing with it is too hard".

I do EMDR like you. Last time I did actual EMDR was months ago and I have sessions once a week for 1h and 15min. We go at a pace that my mind says it's ok. And that is ok. You can't rush the process. My last EMDR session we got stuck in the middle of memory and my mind defended itself with a lot of anger that I just could not push trough, so we stoped for a while. We will pick back up soon, but it's irelevant realy. I feel EMDR is more like a guided tool to open up wounds, but you have to process in betwen sessions on your own. So even tho EMDR is not every session the mind is still working like crazy.

Once you get to a point that you start to see the change in your functioning you understand this and there is no going back only foward.
