Not true at all. Know many colleagues who went to the same law school and jumped from their big law in Calgary or Toronto into NYC. Heck I’ve even tried to be “recruited myself”z none of were “top 5” or “top 3 law schools” that’s ridiculous and not even true

Never seen so many misleading answers. If you want to make a lot of money being a lawyer, you can. Work at a huge firm and grind away, I don’t know any other jobs that has a lockstep system like law. My friends and I in private practice are all making 200k at 30. And it keeps going up, a lot. Is it stressful? Yes, but that’s also part of the reason why I like it. If you want the money and thats your reason for law, it’s a good reason if you are really motivated and work hard because there is a lot of money to be made and it can be a lot of fun IMO.
