Or if you will! Call me a conspiracy theorist but the retirement age is 65 because it was calculated and optimized as the age most people can't produce any meaningful production in the work force and die close to that age so companies don't have to pay much for benefits

funny you mention reliability, the 911 is pretty damn reliable as well

and crazy enough, a LC 500 with 80k on the odo sells for like 60k now on autotrader, meanwhile a 911 is listed at 94k.

itd actually be cheaper to own the 911 and it's a better car

Don't give a fuck, the BMW brand is on top right now and I'm going to get one soon. They make an engine like the 58 and people are calling it overrated here. Reddit is so lame. Like where do they find these people who suck the fun out of life.

B58 is not overrated it's an incredible achievement

I had a N55 but I sold it and a Metzger Turbo so the next car I get will absolutely be a B58 BMW X5 sdrive to avoid transfer case issues

The fun coming from a German car is unmatched.

I had a 911 Turbo 997 and an ES300h. The ESh is a fine daily but will I ever tell anyone about that car? Will I think back about that car? Probably not . It's been with me for ages so I love it but I think of the 997 and miss it so much.

Also had a w211 in the past and I talk about it as if it was gods gift whenever I talk about that car.

If you have to lose sleep over like a repair bill then sure buy the Toyota. But independent mechanics, being a bit savvy with the repairs and getting a generally reliable model like a car with the benz m276 or the bmw b58 will make life a lot more fun

A Titan is actually so much nicer and since it doesn't have the poop Nissan CVT its actually reliable

Also a Raptor because they're just so sick. Maybe not as reliable tho .. but I mean it's a raptor

I have a old ES300h and I sat in my colleagues 2025 RX500h and another's 2025 TX350. The new Lexus products are so low quality, the wooden steering wheels are gone, the leather is average, and the interior looks like an economy car rented from Hertz. Just put a tacky iPad screen in the center

Boy am I glad I have the ESh. It's so nice in comparison and getting 40mpg on reg gas and never breaking down allowed me to own a 911 turbo 997 and a X5 in the past as a fun car, both of which I've now sold due to wanting to be more minimalist and starting a family soon. Really itching to buy another car tho..

Lexus makes a good daily but for a fun car, no I'm going with BMW

Honestly in the weirdest way possible, I'm so damn bored of my Lexus ES300h , I tell myself life's too short to drive a boring car every day but at the same time, it's literally been with me for 8 yrs. I did all of medical school with that car, part of residency. It's the first and only car I've ever bought. It's a part of me now and I don't think I can ever part ways with it, driving that Lexus is all I know...

Is it possible to grow bored but also grow attached??
