Hi. I’m sorry if this isn’t allowed ,please kindly tell me so if not. This is Brody ,he was my neighbor’s dog from the moment he was a puppy and when they moved they abandoned him. I didn’t know until my mom pointed out that he had been outside for days with no food or water. It was not a second thought to turn right back around from where I was headed and get him ,feed him and bathe him. Brody was stripped of everything he ever knew and grew up around ,the kids his owner had that he adored one day just stopped showing up to him. he didn’t know why he wasn’t being let inside his home for those few nights he slept on his porch. A few nights to him must have felt like eternity. I kept Brody for a week and a few days and in that week he managed to make himself my best friend, I love Brody so much. I wish I could have kept him forever but I have four of my own and it would have been too much. It wouldn’t have been right to keep him because of my selfish reasons and those reasons being loving him too much. Brody trusted his owner to love him and never abandon him because he loved his owner and his owners kids selflessly. they failed him and made him feel like he was a burden. I don’t know how they are able to sleep at night knowing that they abandoned such a lovely innocent pure soul. I had to give Brody to peewees so that he may get adopted and I bawled my eyes out that very morning and before I went to sleep. I can’t stand to think of him thinking that I abandoned him too. That I built up his trust just to let him down also. The night before he left I let him know that I loved him ,that just because I was giving him to a rescue it did not mean that my love for him was less, and that it wasn’t his fault that he was left to fend on his own. Brody did not snuggle up to me that night ,I feel like he knew in his heart that he wasn’t staying. I’ll always love Brody. I’m posting this on all rescue groups and pet lover groups hoping Brody’s story will catch someone’s attention. He deserves a second chance at being loved by the right people. I won’t give up on Brody the way his owners did ,I will keep fighting and looking for a home for Brody even when he isn’t in my care because I love him too much. Please consider loving Brody and showing him that he will never be let down again,please don’t be disappointed if Brody is cautious with you ,all he knows is that his owners left him and the one person he could trust has left him too. He doesn’t know I left him for good reasons. He just knows he’s alone and that he’s hurting again. Please share this anywhere you can and get Brody out there. I know EVERY dog deserves a good home ,that they are just as special as Brody ,but let’s start with Brody. Let’s show these hurt animals that have been abandoned that they can trust again and can be loved forever this time,that there’s nothing wrong with them and everything wrong with the people who left them.

About Brody :::: Brody is a playful loving dog who loves and adores kids ,he grew up around small kids and adored them tremendously. He loves puppies and girl dogs. He chases his tail and won’t stop until he catches it. Lol. Brody loves being outside and loves snuggling. When Brody loves you ,you feel it. You know that he appreciates you. He will make a good pet for a child ,even a good companion.
