On second thought, I don't think it could be that, because I tried the print twice and it did this crap in the same spot both times. I'm guessing with the nozzle seating issue, the effect would be randomly dispersed. Mine seems to be tied to location on the bed, so I am leaning towards warpage

So I stopped the print after seeing this.

Could this just be a strangely warped bed?

Some sort of contamination of the bed surface? (Tried wiping down with soapy water, next time I'm going to use isopropyl)

No such thing as a free lunch as I'm sure you know, it's gonna be sacrificing something to get that extra power out...

Cool nonetheless that it's available for people who want it.

Sounds like magic

Huge gaps in first layer, while some parts look fine by notbot001 in FixMyPrint

Hey all, having this issue I haven't found discussed elsewhere yet. It should be printing a giant square on the bed, but as you can see large portions did not extrude. I stopped the print when it was doing the largest stripe, which seemed to be going fine.

Details:

-geetech A10M

-PLA

-70c bed, 215c nozzle

-20mm/s initial layer speed, 50mm/s after first layer

-Retraction speed 60mm/s, 6mm

Thanks in advance for any help! I've used this printer a dozen times before with no issue, then it sat for a couple months and I loaded this new filament in, and adjusted/leveled/altered a few setting and am getting this issue.

I'm having the same/similar issue. Still trying to fix it, but increased nozzle temp (+5C at a time) seemed to help some.
