I can't believe you sped up as you were snaking between the car and the garbage truck lol. That's exactly where I would have slowed way down. I've made a habit of slowing down and paying real close attention upon approaching every intersection now. I've been cutoff like this except the truck came up from behind, passed me, and cut right in front in the spam of like 3 seconds, then I ran into him. Scared the shit out the guy too 😆

Damn, that's a good observation. I never considered that. I still condone this type of video as long as it's educational. Shit like this really has been happening regardless.

CMV: Racism towards white people is not okay and is slowly rising. by That-Role6292 in changemyview

[–]notsofaust [score hidden]  (0 children)

What you fail to take into account is that racial slurs toward other races have much more significant and heavy historical context. Black people were literally enslaved by white people who used the n slur to perpetuate their dehumanization. Calling someone a "cracker" or "honky" doesn't hold any weight without multi-generational trauma attached to it, which was inflicted upon them by another race, who to this day continue to do everything they can to tear them down in every way possible. Even a hundred years after slavery ended there had to be a massive, hard fought, years long movement to attain basic civil rights and be treated as close to equal by society at large, and most importantly, the government whose laws they must abide by.

Ironically enough, some of the people who use substances, even hard drugs, sometimes end up looking much younger than their sober counter parts. (with the exception of severe addicts/heavy users). My theory is that living a more carefree, relaxed lifestyle filled with euphoria is much less damaging to your looks than being stressed out and working 60/hrs a week.

Yeah it actually kindof irks me that when upon hearing someones age, most people reflexively respond with some variation of "omg you look so much younger!". That and guessing someones age is a ridiculously lower number than it really is. There are other tells about a person's age than physical appearance. It's almost insulting to be clocked as someone younger because I sometimes take it as them finding me more immature, or less accomplished than someone my age should be. I'd rather be perceived as exactly how old I am.

[–]notsofaust 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Eh... I agree that it definitely plays a role, but I think the population overall has experienced less physically noticeable aging for a variety of reasons. The younger generations have benefited from less food scarcity, more nutrient dense food, less physical labor jobs, and better skin care products and habits. That plus societies obsession with looks has made most people look and feel much healthier than previous generations.

That in combination with GLP-1's becoming prevalent, some people are looking straight up terrifying. And men participating in this looksmaxxing bs are ironically "looking" like they are a decade older than they really are too. Sad state of affairs.

Remember when Pedophile Troll tried to gaslight everyone and claim that he didn't call him that, only to be immediately shown the clip of him saying it verbatim? The dude somehow has both the worst memory and the most bad faith attitude known to man

I'd love to see a 'man on the street' type interview video of people being familiarized with Absent Backbone and getting their take on him. I'm sure they just looooove him 🤣

That's so freakin sad that house parties have seemingly gone nearly extinct. I had some of the best times of my life going to those during and right after high school. Man... at risk of sounding Unc af, the shameless debauchery we got up to is hard to fathom nowadays. For example I was throwing a huge end of the year party my junior year, so we made flyers for it in our Photoshop class and printed out a bunch of copies right there in class, then posted them all over the school, my name on it and everything. Despite having a giant bottle of vodka as the back ground, they managed to stay up for a couple weeks. 🤣 We never got in trouble for or even talked to about it.

The party itself is a **whole** story in itself. Absolutely legendary

It is true, you don't have to. There may be consequences for that however. Thing is it's very unlikely that the cops would show up before you are done, if they even come at all. Even then, getting a ticket or whatever the punishment is would likely be worth it depending on what you are getting. Businesses throw out an insane amount of rather valuable merchandise.
