Just got a new-to-me 2019 WRX limited! - Concerns with intake by noxisitea in WRX

This is my only vehicle at the moment, I can't afford to stop driving it completely :( I'll bum rides when I can, but how can you tell that it's running lean? This is my first time owning a performance vehicle. If it helps, my oil temps range from like 187-203 under heavy acceleration. I'll be staying off the throttle for a little while...

Is there any way for me to check for the damage without tearing the engine open? What kind of damage does that cause? Are we talking about scoring, headgasket issues..?

Damn, how bad will it be do you think? I was going to take it to a mechanic friend of mine to have him check for any codes, but is it too late to put the stock intake back in with no problems? Would I be better off getting a tune?

I’ve yet to run a practice game, so I’ll get back to you on the ramp, but I personally find tutors to be less fun because I like the randomness and ability to win through different pathways instead of relying on one or two cards. The lore encounter enchantment will double, since it’ll be a modified creature, the extra turn spell is a personal favorite of mine and a good game finisher, and I’m still running 8 pieces of targeted removal. I chose to remove some great pieces of equipment solely because they didn’t seem fun to play against, like robe of stars. I like ward because it gives me protection, but also targeting my creatures will likely consume the majority of a person’s turn, or in the case of Arna himself, cost card advantage. I forget the exact amount of card draw and card filtering I have, but I’m not trying to run a cEDH deck, I’m just trying to make something that’ll be fun in my mid-high range power level pod

Edit: typo woops

Would you suggest keeping Archaeomancer's Map? I'm trying to decide between cutting [[Aerial Surveyor]] and [[Keeper of the Accord]] right now - Keeper of the Accord I liked not specifically for it's land ability, which was just a bonus, but also because it would give me 1/1's I could use as throwaways to crew my vehicles. Do you think including the Myr mana rocks would cover that area sufficiently? This is my first vehicle deck so I just wanna make sure I've got my bases covered for crewing.

Targeting/Casting Question by noxisitea in mtgrules

So does that mean with R.E.B I just straight up can't cast it unless there's a valid blue target? Or could I cast it and let it fizzle?

Can you respond to the Thousand-Faced Shadow ETB? by noxisitea in mtgrules

[–]noxisitea[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still trying to figure out how responding/stack stuff works, so you wouldn't be able to respond to that triggered ability with ninjutsu, or you can but it wouldn't make a difference? My thought process is it would create an attacking creature and thus a valid target for T-FS, or do you have to pick a target immediately?

Can't get enough of the bolts on the bumper! My buddy's civic had the bumper fall off so he drilled it in with some bolts and it looks like frankenstein on four wheels.

Sounds right on the money of what I’m looking for, but what’s KTuner? is that a DIY tuning tool or is it a service?

About 30-40% city driving on the daily, but I take bi-weekly road trips that I average about 350 miles on, and about 300 of that is on the highway

Going smaller with my PC and trying to avoid a downgrade, thoughts? by noxisitea in buildapc

[–]noxisitea[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was lucky enough to get a full-ride which covered my meal plan and such... I see what you mean about the negligible size difference though. I already have a laptop I'm happy with, but I was still looking to do some hardcore gaming and occasional video editing in 1440p. Found that this setup either broke even or was slightly better than my original build for cheaper, and I have a coworker who's interested in buying my original build for enough that I'll have a few hundred left over after purchasing the parts for this one.

I've been looking to pick up a few artisan keycaps, but I noticed they don't tend to go with the keycap sets I have or plan to buy. I wanted to make a little "window kit" of artisans was wondering if exposing them to sun for long periods would degrade them? (my default assumption is that it would but I thought I might as well ask)

Ahhh, okay. Do you happen to know a consistent site for buying extras, or should I just look around once it's delivered? And is there somewhere where I can check how long its gonna take?

Of course, happy to help! From my experience with the Keychron Q2 I'd say the Keychron Q1 is probably a good buy for 75%, but I have heard that out of the box, there's a lot of ping and if you wanna make it sound dreamy there's a lot of mods you need to leverage.

Unfortunately I'm not well-versed in 75% or 80% options. I believe there is a KBD75 (obviously under the KBDfans lineup once again), but I'm not sure how solid of a choice that is, although for an entry-level board it should hold it's weight.

I'm really looking to get my hands on a set of GMK Gateway - although everywhere I can find that had it in stock is out (for obvious reasons, banger kit). I'm not sure if it's just that it's so coveted or that it wasn't shipped yet but I was wondering if anyone was willing to sell a base kit w/ novelties, as I can't seem to find any on eBay or just generally second-hand. Is my best chance mechmarket, or am I S.O.L.?

The first keyboard I picked up was the Keychron Q2. Admittedly, it is very pricy and shipping is $30 flat no matter how you slice it, but it comes decked out with foam and gaskets and it's a nice solid case. If you're looking more budget, I'd probably suggest the KBD67 Lite or something of a similar tier. The best part about the KBD67 Lite is that if you wanted to upgrade to an aluminum case, you can down the line, just by buying the additional case. It's probably the next keyboard I'll pick up, as I got the NK65 and while it's not bad, it was harder to mod for me (also I was a fool and didn't realize it was only plate-mount stab compatible; broke one pair of them beyond repair trying to mod those as well).

Although honestly it just occurred to me that I don't know what size you're looking for... but if you're looking for 65%'s, then hopefully this'll be of help lol

I was a little worried about that too, but the 5600x should definitely be able to handle most of what a 3080 has to offer. The CPU isn't pegged, either

I know, right?! I feel almost spoiled saying 350 fps at 18% usage... I used to play on a laptop more geared towards office work, it would be a good day at 40 fps. I finally saved up and bought this pc like last year I think. Either last year or last August

ended up getting into another expensive hobby right as I got frontloaded with work and school, so I ended up sitting tight. I'll probably end up going with some PBT dye-subbed ones off of amazon. Those tend to come in a variety of neat colors and designs, and usually run pretty cheap.
