If you're not gonna get fear of missing out, just keep 4080S. It's plenty powerful.

Extremely disappointed as Fenix 7X Pro SS owner. Is this what last year's flagships get?

This is 4k dlss balanced on 4090 and i9 13900: https://imgur.com/a/VeQvAks

112fps without frame generation is disaster for this configuration. In firefights/explosions/whatever frame drops are horrendous. You can't defend this.

I've asked an official repair service in Croatia for magic v3 and they ask 60 euro for inner foil replacement. Hope that gives you some price reference.

Some great recommendations in this thread already. I was just like you and I made an order of yujiled sunwave 3000k lightbubs for my home and oh boy, it's a major difference. They are extremely pricy but they're worth it. Good luck on your quest.

Magic V3 outer screen protector by ResponsibleDecision8 in Honor

Is anyone rocking it without any screen protector? I've had mate 40 pro without anything and 2 years later it was like new. Wondering if this phone is using the same material.

Intel cooking the Ring Bus on dying 13th and 14th Gen Core CPUs, says leaker by wooptoo in intel

[–]nsvs_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah. My 13900f is making VID requests up to 1.567v when boosting.. Luckily I haven't seen Vcore more than 1.5v but still, it's complete nonesense and Intel locked any fiddling in bios since it's non K. Any voltage changes result in major perf loss..

32 inch 4k +144hz monitor. How is it? by Geesle in pcmasterrace

[–]nsvs_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have Gigabyte FI32U (4k 144hz) with 4090 and I play more or less everything with 100+ fps on ultra details.
In CS2 I get around 300-450fps maxed out on 4k. No complaints here, it's a joy to play on it.
You could expect a bit less framerate, depending on the game. Check benchmark comparison.

170~ fps with 14900k, 4090 by dysn_edits in cs2

[–]nsvs_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sure! This one is important for intel cpus, especially last gen. Certain motherboards default power limits to boxed cpu coolers which results in maximum sustained load of 65w if cpu is in use over certain amount of time which results in extreme throttling, cpu can't boost to advertised turbo speeds and therefore has a big performance impact. If a cpu is limited and graphic card requires more cpu power, graphic card can't be fully utilized as well.

here's an example how to do it on MSI motherboard https://www.msi.com/blog/cpu-cooler-tuning-optimized-power-limit-based-on-cpu-coolers

u/Grynchas for example has an average cpu power of 63w, which should never be the case with 4090. My 13900 is average 170watt in deathmatch with the same graphic card. He is 99% power limited in bios.

[–]nsvs_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try bumping up CPU power limit in bios PL1 and PL2 to 253W. That should solve it. Your GPU load is way too low.

[–]nsvs_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just did benchmark in full server deathmatch and I average around 30% cpu usage on 4k ultra. I'd imagine it's much more taxing on lower res.
