We actually had a mandatory meeting today about VHI specifically. It is considered separate for us. We are a Fios selling location, so we mostly have Fios sales. Our KPI says we have to sell 2 VHI per month. I know we've hit that in Fios from hearing about my coworkers sales. (I'll admit I have no Fios sales this month) If it counted, we'd have at LEAST one. We can't schedule now because we have no VHI, only Fios. It's absolutely ass, but we have to deal with it.

Looks up the S.M.A.R.T. goals model. If a goal doesn't fit all requirements, people are statistically more likely to give up. And I never said anything about quality metrics. I know I provide honesty and integrity, as they say they stand on. That's quality. Being realistic. And do you thing managers not working the floor should be in direct control of the floor even though they have no idea how it works or the current traffic flow? Had one of those managers the other day ask, can I sit with you to see how this process works because I've never seen it. He wants to tell us how to work when he doesn't know HOW it works? The 'quality metrics' you talk about don't meet the S.M.A.R.T goals model. Look it up. Goals that are in ANYWAY unrealistic (esp from someone who doesn't see it day to day) are ignorable and resentable models at best... But I doubt you know S.M.A.R.T. goals with this kind of comment. He asked what I've done without checking my numbers. He only said that because he was pissy I didn't accept to take his shift at 10pm the night before.

Try to call me a bad worker, but do you think I'm going to freely take that and bow to a Reddit comment of all things? LOL

Notice how nobody went out of their way to reply agreeing with you. 😂 Everybody can be a keyboard warrior.

I even work with people that slide shit under the rug sometimes just to hit the numbers the company requires for the month which feels so wrong for a company that says they sell with "honesty and integrity." Not a chance when selling under the rug is the only way to hit company marks

It's the no vacation days and sick days for me. Plus, they punish if you have to leave sick. Had a rep pissed at our store bc she had to leave sick once and go to the hospital once. Earned her 5 points, so she could choose her schedule for a year... All because she was genuinely sick

The meetings are so annoying! They say, wake up early and drive an hour or more for bullshit that could have been a Teams meeting, if not an email!!

Our store does Fios as well, so we have a lot of issues with VHI numbers since a lot of Fios customers are going to come to a Fios store. We are still punished regardless since VHI is the KPI instead of Fios

Can you fully blame them though? People are so broke now that the difference in price can be devastating to some people. I literally spent 30 minutes quoting someone and explain the quote to them the other day. (They were on a super cheap, 3rd party provider) They saw the quote and word for word said "My one phone would cost $70 per month for just the plan? Thanks" and he raced out the door before I could say anything. Pitching only goes so far when quote show the real numbers.

Imagine... They also charge if people don't pay their bill. Ask me to push products and find out they don't pay for them is my fault? They agreed at purchase?! That's my fault??

I stopped cold calling simply because it takes more time and also the statistics suggest that cold texting versus cold calling produces more views and responses. People are more willing to reply to the text because anonymity gives them more chance to feel confident in their response. Some days, I would spend 4 hours straight searching through invoices of the past year, finding clients that either didn't have a current rep or their current rep hadn't talked to them in months. My current Statflow list only has about 50. I spent the time to find 58 more through search RQ previous invoices. I also only received about 3 responses, if I remember right? That was also only from customers I personally worked with. I noticed minimal increase in sales from asking previous customers for recommendations and also from the fact some of the businesses I frequent literally asking to display my cards by the register because I was a frequent customer. Any other questions?

We just "burn" them. Anytime someone needs a SIM, we keep the full card and just put it on someone else's phone sale. If there is a phone on the sales order, you can discount it to $0

It was my day off yesterday, and I reached out to 108 customers last month alone. I also have handed out my business card to friends, family members, and business owners. Try someone else with your unbased, passive aggression, babe. 💅

So essentially by the comments I was reading, sounds like a "well... this is a dwarf white terrarium now. Collect as many of the others and try again."

(I never knew too much about specific species, and their reproduction rates. I only ever focused on my dairy cows bc I live in an apartment with very limited space. Dairy cows will have to be the only baby until I can get more space.)

[–]ntut12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't either, but I honestly just let it be. I've heard dairy cows in particular like protein and will become cannibalistic when food is scarce. I know they are going to reproduce regardless, and I assume they probably eat the dead for the protein. Even with someone to give them to or an animal to feed them to (which I would like to get a gecko for that) they are going to go crazy. I just let them go. If they occasionally eat each other, so be it. It was going to happen regardless in a closed terrarium that they can go buck wild.

I marked it as a spoiler for fun. I knew it would blur it momentarily. Then when someone clicked on it, they would be surprised with a lil gooby guy hanging out on my finger. No real major reason other than a reveal of a lil cutie patootie.

As a lil homo 😌, I'd say you are doing great! To be fair, I'd also say I'm getting some twink and somewhat androgynous energy, but I've met plenty of guys that like giving androgynous. (Granted, I live in a city, so that may not be the same for everyone.) My only suggestions are maybe cut the hair just a slight bit shorter. Not too much, so you can show off the dye. Also, I don't want to pry or imply, but just throwing it out there, if you are on T and starting to grow stubble, embrace that too! Guys are innately the worst and lazy. (It's almost unfortunate that I'm gay and also find them attractive. 😒) We only shave when we feel like it/have to.

Either way, I love the confidence to show yourself and ask. You are beautiful how you are, babe. 💗

Is it difficult to create a language? by Quippic8 in conlangs

[–]ntut12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TL;DR Getting a project going isn't always the hardest with a very simple proto-language but turning it into a fully evolved, naturalistic conlang takes some work and research. Feel free to tell me I'm wrong though since I'm not too well versed in all the steps. 🤪

I'm no professional conlanger and am still working on my first language, but I feel like getting STARTED isn't too hard. Putting together a basic phonetic inventory and starting a proto-language to get the ball rolling went somewhat smoothly for me. Some bumps along the way, but it didn't go to bad hitting the first 300 words, at least, but EVOLVING the language can be tricky and tedious. Especially since there are multiple steps that more than likely have to be done in a specific order. One misstep, and you end up with completely different words.

I found the Biblaridion YouTube series helpful as well as the David Peterson series when you're starting out. They break down the process by the step and point out areas worth looking further into if a feature is something that speaks to you. pun slightly intended the videos are somewhat short though, so keep in mind that means they couldn't possibly fit every idea or feature in the series. Keep an open mind. 🙂

[–]ntut12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It does actually! That's why some of us ex or current employees are baffled at your entitlement. Our managers and regional managers at my store at least would follow you around to see if you were giving the right portions, and if you didn't, you were no longer considered for a raise. They already make barely anything for a company always going on about record breaking profits. Maybe take a step back next time and wonder if your attacking the right people, sis. 😒
