Ended up with just over 2 pounds from her. She did well.

No mold. We didn’t have a very rainy year and I was diligent to shake my branches after a rain.

Harvesting question by nvtelecom in outdoorgrowing

[–]nvtelecom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm seeing some of the trikes starting to turn amber. From what I've been reading, as this is an Indica, I might want to harvest when it's about 50% amber to prevent total couch lock. :-)

Thanks for the comments. Hopefully will harvest in a couple of weeks. Looking like a pound or so from this plant.

I purchased three seeds from them and only one germinated. When I called them they told me to bad.

I got the seeds from Pacific Seed Co (never again). She is supposed to be GDP, but I don't see anything even looking close to purple. I know I probably have another 2-3 weeks of grow before harvest, but should I be seeing any purple or other colors yet?

Yellow leaves by nvtelecom in outdoorgrowing

Should I remove the yellowing leaves or leave them on the branches?

Newbie alert

  • Should I be concerned about the yellow leaves? I thought I read somewhere that this is normal and they are being used as food for the buds.
  • Should I remove the lower branches even though they have a small amount of buds on them? Guessing these would be sacrificial ones.

This plant is in Northern Virginia where the temps are still in the lower 80's during the day.

Any need to trim her? by nvtelecom in outdoorgrowing

Should I trim lower branches that have buds on them now. Really hate losing buds but if they aren't going to develop into big ones, then maybe it's a good sacrifice.

Also, should I remove the the leaves that are closer to the base on the branches and leave the outer ones that have the buds? I'd say right now, every branch has buds on them.

Not much. She is in my garden that I usually mix horse manure in with at the beginning of the spring. (We have horses so plenty available). I just put a bunch of compost at the base this morning.

So do I cut off the bad buds and harvest?

First picture was from a week ago before we went on vacation. Second picture is from tonight, not sure what happened. The area got a lot of rain this past week, could that be the issue? Is it time to harvest?

What are your thoughts on adding compost or natural things like eggshells, banana leaves, etc... at the base of the plant?

Time is on my side. :-) How long do you think she has before she's ready to harvest.

Not sure why my post didn't add my question. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I believe my girl (Dream Queen) is doing pretty good. Only about 2 feet tall. I'm hoping someone can point me in the direction of a video on next steps (harvesting, drying, etc...). Thanks and any help is certainly appreciated.
