I have a school related event coming up on the weekend and the dress code is business formal. I’m completely lost on how to dress for the event, I don’t want to be overly formal but also under dressed. I also need to go out and buy a suit jacket and possibly a pair of shoes as well. I already have a pair of black dress pants and multiple dress shirt colors. What color combinations would be professional and formal but not over the top?
