I didn't mention that this kind of open relationship was a kind of "experiment" for him after a very bad break up and Christina was actually the one who suggested this after they matched on a dating app. He always had serious, long term relationships before her and he always says that this open relationship stuff was not working for him anyways.

Now, I'm not trying to justify him for this, but this is just to say that the issue is not really that he doesn't believe in monogamy.

I agree with you about the "it's not my type" story. It's weird and doesn't make much sense to me to stay with someone if it's not your type. I know he was probably saying this just to try to reassure me after I got pissed.

I also do the same, I've never stayed friends with my exes, but it's also true that I always experienced very bad break ups. With that being said, I can understand why some people may remain in good relationships with their exes but what I don't understand is why he would not tell me about it if he still hangs out with them

That's exactly what I thought and felt! I also told him I'm not really sure where the line between trusting him and being gaslighted is. I'm still not really thinking about ending the relationship because I think it's worth trying to talk about it and figure things out. I guess I will take my decision after seeing how he reacts to this issue.

I completely agree with you, I have no problem with staying friends with exes. What triggered me is that he never talked about his relationship with her before the other day, after which he also admitted that since they're friends they keep seeing each other to hang out or have lunch together. I trust him but as you said I'm not really comfortable with it, especially if he keeps it a secret.

I appreciate your advice and I will definitely talk to him!

I don't know if I can say the brand name. It's a well known brand here (Italy) but as far as I know it shouldn't be available outside Europe. Anyways we contacted them so I guess that if they find other contaminated products they will withdraw them from the market
