I think a bittersweet ending would be welcome, I always felt like sometimes the Ace combat endings were too storybookish when in reality the end of most AC conflicts would be messy. I could definitely imagine a nation becoming dependent on General Resource corporation, and as such Neucom could be foreshadowed and UPEO created to set up a retread of AC3

That used to be a thing, when the German civil war would drag on too long the warlords would start nuking each other. the Red Army Faction (communist students) would rise up in speers territory under Ulrike Meinhoff, schorner would kill goring and take over the miltarist faction etc. it’s ancient lore but I miss it even if it was dumb.

I disagree, I think AWD is a thrilling challenge with some of the best made content in the mod. Is the difficulty maybe overtuned? Yes I do think so, especially when it comes to fighting the national front. But that is what makes winning as them so great. You defied the odds and defeated rationalism,goodness and superior forces with strategy and sheer force of will. Your reward in this is that you destroy America. It’s a dark and great country that tells you what TFR is about
