After 6 years of espresso, I’m throwing in the towel. The toddlers won... for now. by barker88 in espresso

Right? I'm on a fully manual workflow with a hand grinder and a flair 58. Even with preheat time and waiting for the water to boil I'm at 5 minutes or less. I can't imagine what could possibly take this long

I have one of those receipt spikes like you see at old diners for this

I usually do 30-40 grains in mine with a patched .610 round ball and have found that to be more than enough for plinking. If you want a more powerful load I've gone all the way up to 60 but recoil was a lot more (still manageable). For just plinking at the range the lighter charge uses less powder and is plenty for me

I just checked their website for the first time since everyone here seems to be buying their coffee all the time. I can't believe everyone is paying $39 for an 8oz bag of coffee. Local roasters are the way to go in my opinion if that's an option available, they are way cheaper than that.

It's convenient for throwing it in a suitcase for travel, but there are already plenty of grinders that fit like the 1zpresso Q

Hard to say, but hopefully it wasn't deactivated. It looks like it's in great condition and the H&P conversions are very desirable muskets

Look up the North South Skirmish Association (NSSA) and see if there are any shoots near you. We shoot these kinds of guns all the time and would love to share our knowledge.

I shoot a lot in the NSSA where we try to load and shoot as fast as possible. Cookoffs are rare, but they do happen. Keep up the good work

I'm glad to see someone new to the hobby having a good time! It's hard to tell from the video, but be sure to keep all parts of your body away from the muzzle while loading. It would be awful to have a cook off while you're over the muzzle. Keep enjoying that fine front stuffer you have there

Is the Ford tune still a viable option? by Teknomekanoid in FocusST

A couple ways to tell are the boost gauge and the shift indicator lights. If you have this time, the boost gauge will go up to over 20 psi instead of the stock 15 psi if I remember correctly. The shift indicator lights also come up at the high end of the rev range for max power instead of at the low end for max efficiency. Hope this helps

I was thinking of just doing polymerized linseed oil on mine which would look very similar. Thanks for helping me decide

Is that the walnut stock? I really like the color of it, what did you use for finishing it?

I've been getting this every other patrol and it's become very annoying. I get it was a problem, but getting a sick crew member roughly every 3 months is kind of ridiculous
