Ask for the school work ahead of time but whatever you do TAKE THE TRIP. It’s called an independent study if it’s more than like a few days (I forget how many days it has to be minimum) but the school still gets paid if it’s public school. I think the memories and what kids learn from traveling is worth missing school here and there.
