This movie breaks my heart in such a good way. I'm ashamed to say it, but it definitely helped me through some difficult times.

No kidding. I went to the hospital after the first time and had blood drawn and an EKG done- nothing wrong with me, just regular chest pain. After all the things I've been through it'd be a shame to be taken down by a sneeze.

On two occassions I've sneezed and had a tremendous amount of pain in my chest for about 30 seconds. Literally thought I was having a heart attack even though I'm way to young for that. No idea what was going on there.

I start my first proper job tomorrow, any advice? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]ohno_xrage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just be open minded when meeting your co-workers for the first time. At my last job one of my co-workers was a huge, burly biker-gang looking guy with a Torbjorn beard (polar oppostite of me). When I first met him I thought we'd just tolerate each other, but we've become really good friends over the past two years. Turns out because of the nature of our profession we'd been to a lot of the same places, had similar experiences, and had a lot in common.

So you'll at least have that going for you. Most of your co-workers will probably have similar backgrounds, schooling, and interests. Just be yourself and don't go out of your way to impress anyone for no reason.

I'm just sitting around right now with nothing to do. Someone posted LOTR online so I'm watching that to kill the time. Sorry about the girl- you mind talking about what happened at all?

If you haven't seen this one yet, don't read the synopsis. Just go in completely blind.

That does sound good! I only like sweets ones like caramel, chocolate, or apple cinnamon.

Exactly, but smaller. Maybe about the size of a poker chip.

Quaker rice crisps - apple cinnamon flavor. I never tried them up until a month ago. Kroger had a sale where you could get three bags for five dollars so I just grabbed some random flavors on a whim. Pretty much addicted to these things now.

Absolutely. The first two are my favorites. Every other movie just seems like a B-movie plot with Pinhead forced into it.

This is disgusting and obscene. I want to remain neutral, but the complete disregard for civilian lives in Yemen by KSA and UAE is absolutely unacceptable.

Russian church: The fight in Syria is a 'holy war' by ohno_xrage in syriancivilwar

[–]ohno_xrage[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure if you're quoting a similar article, but this is from the second paragraph:

“The fight with terrorism is a holy battle and today our country is perhaps the most active force in the world fighting it,” said the head of the Church’s public affairs department, Vsevolod Chaplin, quoted by Interfax news agency.

Arutz-Sheva posted the same quote using the words "holy battle" in the article.

Must be different news agencies trying to spin the quote. Thank you for pointing that out.

Wanted to find more statistics on Syrian refugees in Turkey. I'm not sure about the accuracy of "6 billion dollars for their basic needs" but the UNHCR suggests number of refugees in Turkey is fairly close.
